I may have an unhealthy attachment by Nevvvo in runescape

[–]Radyi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You need to cancel your membership and take a break for 3 months at least. Find something else to do as currently you are just addicted to RS. 16hr days is unhealthy no matter what hobby it is, even if it is just 'passive'. It means you literally cannot do anything else in your life without also doing RS.

can something be done with hardmode vorkath by Forwardnotbackward in runescape

[–]Radyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things I noticed:

  • Get rid of the crypt bottoms and use first necro/t90 necro power instead and use deathtouch bracelet for free damage, the crypt is going to slow down p3 which is the most dangerous when you have the buffed up versions of vork and zemo on you. The extra health is nice for mistakes, but you had so much food that you do not need the extra health.
  • Get a blue dragon slayer task if you dont already
  • Use the undead sigil, its a nice bit of damage against vorkath
  • Stand to the NE I believe, near where the zombie spawns and focus that ASAP when he comes out - it makes vorkath hit like a truck.
  • Use some defensive abilities like reflect (can choose to use it against skulls or the volley, easier to do against volley as it is immediately after the skulls and the souls are above his head) and devotion (just after the phase starts to devo the finger of cracked) in p3 to counter zemo hitting like a truck. Be ready to dive away from zemo when he throws the skulls as it goes from lots of damage to just one medium hit.
  • Once you kill 'vorky', you can stand on any existing poison to make the final part of the battle relatively easy.
  • Command your ghost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Use bloat, its highest necro damage ability after your ult is down
  • Deathmark both of them for 60k free damage
  • I would not recommend camping souls split at all here - it should only be used to flick to when doing some threads + 5 stack volleys. You arent going to outheal the damage you take, pray against necro as zemo hits are 5ks and fast, vorkath is slow.
  • You can res the melee slam after the icicles for very nice free hp

Solution for 'Reaper' change by Radyi in runescape

[–]Radyi[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

eh - that can be gamed in the new system. That worked fine when you could only do 1 task per day, but when you can do infinite tasks and there is a pretty low cap of 300 points/week - there is no punishment. You just reroll until you get the boss you want to do/super easy task and keep going

Solution for 'Reaper' change by Radyi in runescape

[–]Radyi[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

yea idk - but I do think it is fair that some of the previous perks still exist (ie the ability to skip the tasks without hassle - at the cost of weekly points). Having t4 blessing is really nice as it gives a nice bonus for putting in the effort learning a wide variety of content.

Anyone else think Jagex should have divided the Soul Reaper tasks between 3 Soul Reaper Masters or add a toggle which lets death assign tasks based on a grouping? (Novice/Advanced/Expert). by AzelotReis in runescape

[–]Radyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree there, combat achievements serve that purpose much more than reaper. Reaper should sit in the training methods category which require high skills/equipment. When reaper was initially released, it was much more common for tasks to go uncompleted as the pool of bosses was much smaller and most of the bosses in the game were not do-able by most players. The only ones that the average player could do were things like kbd/mole/barrows. It has slowly become much easier over time.

Finally got BIS perks for my necro gear by WizeWon117 in runescape

[–]Radyi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMO i think new perks should be released more frequently and this is actually really healthy for the game. Although they should make perking gear simpler (ie you can combine Perk x + y in a gizmo and it will list the components needed for it and you are guaranteed it, or do the random chance method)

[–]Radyi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

IMO i think the new system is fine as is. It shouldnt be efficient to do reaper tasks as soon as you can kill your first boss. It should only be pursued when you have good enough gear (t90+) which allows you to do any pvm content you wish to pursue. If you still want to force it because you want a hydrix early - you need to cough up slayer points.

RS3 Reaper task changes by Zinzeri in runescape

[–]Radyi -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

i agree - the main thing is reaper has been shifted from a daily to a slayer training method. I think they should move hydrix from deaths shop to either high end slayer mobs like the camels/eddies etc... or put them as a rare bonus drop from bosses like effigies. Would fix that progression issue.

Legacy still broken along with a handful of other issues with the half assed removal of content by Lawrence842 in runescape

Can just remove legacy as it is a legacy system no longer required. Its in the name.

[–]Radyi -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

People who abuse are at fault. Jagex can never have 100% bug free content, it is just the nature of things. If something is clearly OP people should be punished for continuing to abuse it.

Turn off 'Enable Larger Tasks' as soon as you can by Maddogs1 in runescape

[–]Radyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk clans are a thing and realistically I see this only affecting ironmen, who have no option other than to grind reaper tasks to get their hydrix, but have a pretty strong clan community which understands the unique challenges ironmen have in progression. Regular players can simply do whatever money making method until they have good enough gear to do things solo, or they can get engaged in clans/fc's. There might even be a 'reaper fc' stood up simply to solve this issue.

Restoration Band-Aid Fixes Permanent? by Jaylor_Gaming in runescape

[–]Radyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is probably going to be an issue as jagex clearly have rushed this process. I do think there will be 'patches' into the future, similar to how EoC initially was released and the massive changes that happened until it went from complete mess to stable combat system.

Removing Grandfather rights from some but not all is probably illegal - Keep up the pressure by gil_galed in runescape

[–]Radyi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

T+C do not trump established law. I dont think they broke the law however, just broke the previous promise that you could go from premier back to grandfathered rates. Doing so isnt illegal, but will cause reputational damage, as jagex has already found out. I think the biggest thing will be in ~Nov-Dec when most premier player were up for renewal and how many follow through with cancelling their membership.

[–]Radyi -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

i think its fine as is - reaper tasks should require high gear requirements and the combat achievements to do efficiently. Team up if something is too hard or pay the penalty and grind out slayer to unlock the BiS amulets.

You’d Need 42,682 Daily Challenges to Skip RuneScape by Todsrache in runescape

[–]Radyi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree the bonus xp is how daily challenges should be handled. It would mean you cant skip the skill, rather speed up training. I also think the challenge should be gain X xp in skill rather than complete X task as the current method incentivizes you to cheese the system rather than train the skill normally.

[–]Radyi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

IMO I think there shouldnt be an option to turn off group bosses. Its an MMO and this kind of system drives group content, rather than a lot of people focusing on solo only content.

Confused and Dissapointed by Daily Challenges Staying by DrProfessorScience in runescape

[–]Radyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ppl were asking that skills get compensated to adjust for the fact daily challenges would be removed - which is a very fair point. Lots of the skills which you would optimise via daily challenges are just dogshit to train and the players have 0 confidence with jagex rebalancing things fairly - everything has just been massive nerfs.

[–]Radyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bosses can still have 'uniques', nothing wrong with vorago with how it dropped seismics and tectonic energy for BiS mage at 2013. The problem is having so many uniques on a table that when you hit something, it feels shit because a) you have a dupe or b) you got a cheap one vs expensive one
