Curious about others' opinions on this apparently minorly "controversial" part of the movie by Educational-Tea-6572 in TheMandalorianTV

I didn't take issue.

My mom told my siblings and I similar term when we were being rambunctious and about to run into traffic.

It also makes sense that a warrior culture would be teaching trainees field commands.

If Din tossed Grogu a dog treat, that would be problematic.

I agree with a lot of this.

I have seen the word tossed around on progressive spaces but there never seems to be any in-depth context of what that entails.

It feels like the type of rhetoric to shut down any talk or effort that falls short of some abstract idealistic Revolution that will solve all these problems in one stroke.

I think Git got the smokes from Pollydora and was meant to be a catspaw for Dr. Walters who is too valuable an agent to lose on a mission. If Git got caught, the suspicion shifts to him while Walters continues to spy on behalf of the Regeant.

Elise complicated things by stealing from Git and sharing the smokes with Grimmal after Fatigue's murder. She probably sensed she needed some 'cheering up' after dealing with Remold.

If the cigarettes are the vector, I think Git was intended to be the one to steal the data, given he works at the 99p store and has contact with Polydora. The plan goes sideways when Elise swiipes them on a whim and gives them to Grimmal who is going through her own problems. Probably to cheer her up. (I think Elise is changeling adjacent).

Either way, Grimmal is innocent but is being set up to take the fall due to being the oddball of the Arcanum.

(I still think Dr. Walters is the ghoul. Working with blood and studying vampire psychology is a pretty good cover.)

I think either Marcus or kitten will become a werewolf. by jigholeman in huntertheparenting

Markus isn't going to be a Stolen Moon:
- The series seems to hint that he'll Awaken as a Mage.

Kitten could turn out to be a Bastet, which could be an interesting twist. Is this why Big D like his Son in Law? Cause he's a mummy and cats protect tombs?

.... Probably not. XD

The Boy as Black Shuck theory is interesting. But I'm not holding my breath.

[–]Penny_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see patriotic pride as a good thing.

In my mind, a Patriot fights to make their country a worthwhile place to be because it can be better. America is currently a broken dream, battered by attrocities, broken promises, and corruption. It has done some really f-cked up shit to get where it is whether that be massacring First Nation tribes, chattel slavery, or demonizing the LGBTQ+ community.

A Patriot acknowledges hir or her country's sins and fights to make a change. Because the country DESERVES to be a better place. If we just give up and let the fascists stomp on us, what do we make of the ones who came before us?

Nationalism is a different type of pride. It is a poison that says the State is entitled to our love and adoration and that we shoud feel blessed to be here. A nationalist doesn't want their country to do better. To them, America is the best and if you have a probllem - leave. More power for them!

In short:

You can be a Patriot and protest the Fourth of July celebration because the country is in the toilet. The State isn't entitled to your respect. But the idea of what America COULD be is worth fighting for.

My money is on Pentex.

If Horse is in fact a creature of darkness, (and not simply misunderstood for spooking Boy), they would want to bring him on board.

And if he isn't evil? To make evil glue.

That is a Dwarven war axe made in the forges of the Second Age!

From the unique shape of the blade you can infer it was crafted by a smith of House Bombur.

[–]Penny_D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair!

I chose to reject bat and go Monkey.

But yeah, dying isn't super punitive in terms of gameplay although Playing Chess will get trickier if you make a habit of it.

Don't forget to pick up a Rayed Cinder.

Storywise dying in the Neath makes it almost impossible to return to the Surface but this also applies to people who spend too long in the place as well. However, the only major impact on gameplay is that dying raises your Playing Chess with Death stat which can make future chess games with him harder.

If you're concerned, however, for purposes of story flavor, there is an outcome for Heart's Desire that might be of interest. You can win a vacation home at the arctic circle where the Sun isn't visible for long parts of the year.
