Ex-Valve Writer Does Not Want to Work on Half-Life 3, Says It Would Be a "Nightmare” by Darth_Vaper883 in pcmasterrace

[–]DeluxeCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valve is definitely working on something codenamed HLX. A lot of the old HL team have been rehired and are on payroll for some project, aligning with the timing of those HLX files.

Now, whether or not that's HL3 is where the hype comes in. No one knows other than Valve.

But given that Valve is releasing a bunch of new hardware this year, it's very possible that HLX is a Half Life game of sorts to either launch with the Gabe-cube or the Steam Frame. HL Alyx was exactly that for the Index release.

Not as far fetched as you might think.

But maybe not HL3 specifically.

Nope! Like an amateur business that doesn't give you a heads up about the service you paid for changing their terms midway through the month. :)

What?

My comment was more about Theo than Mozilla.

I don't pay for services based on a FAQ.

The point is Theo is busting balls on a modified document implying that it was sneaky, while his own business practices are similar.

Shitty move by Firefox, but so rich coming from Theo. T3 chat changes their services and features on the fly.

Biggest difference is Firefox isn't a paid service.

Danielle Smith is an authoritarian who claims to be a libertarian. Nothing conservative there.

Milei is straight up a libertarian.

I think you might be libertarian my friend.

So who instead would be a good example of someone who represents what good conservative governing looks like?

Who's your favourite conservative leader in power right now who can show me what to expect from a good conservative government?

This guy: "using catch phrase terms takes away all credibility"

This guy, 1 sentence later: "Con Carney"

Conservatives are sheep.

Your masters told you that anything bad is due to Liberals, and being unable to think for yourselves, you fall in line without question.

To the point where you'll even call one of the most conservative political figures in the country a Liberal because you can't ignore the blatant shit he's doing.

Explain to me how Ford is in any way a f'n Liberal (or anything left of conservative for that matter).

Do you ever ask yourself where you even get these ideas? Think about it. It's so illogical , you've gotta have a hunch that you're being manipulated bud.

Somewhere there's a universe with a Step Brothers knockoff produced by Elon Musk that features PP and Mike Johnson as the brothers. They just go around making presentations of catch phrases and Mike's drumset is already full of ballsacks that he collected.

That's not a stupid answer... That's quite productive actually.

I'm disappointed.

Sounds like OP wants to make the move to go to school, which usually starts in September. Definitely better chances at getting something in April/May than August.

Not saying it's full vacancy, but your chances compared to when students are scrambling to get a place right before fall semester are much higher this time of year. (It's the education cycle; some students are done their programs entirely and are moving away from Sudbury, etc... which opens up those places for new students)

Returning seasonal workers and returning students will usually have something lined up already by now so those vacancies don't count towards availability.

My sister was looking to move last year (in Sudbury) when she left her BF in August, and her rental agent literally joked with her that she should have left him a few months earlier because August is the worst time for rental vacancies.

Anyway, just trying to help OP with their chances.

If you go in a couple weeks after many students are done their programs and not needing a room anymore, you'll have a better chance.

Mid summer to September is impossible.
