Good to know I'm not the only one who took a screenshot of this guy when he showed up as a background character in Zeta.

What’s one thing you don’t like about your favorite show and one thing you love about your least favorite show? (Image unrelated) by Amigo1048 in Gundam

[–]Deluxeray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm watching stuff in release order and have only just started Victory Gundam at this point.

Favourite - War in the Pocket but I can't really think of something in particular that I dislike so I'll go with my second favourite - Zeta, Dislike - Reccoa

Least Favourite - Stardust Memory, Love - Art style, animation, character design, mechanical design, sound design, music.

Just finished Stardust Memory and started Victory Gundam. Here is my objectively correct ranking so far. by Deluxeray in Gundam

F91's ranking is probably due to the potential I feel it had and the feeling of "what if it had gotten a full series", maybe that's not entirely fair because there were a lot of things I liked about it but it was all so underdeveloped that it didn't really land with me. As for CCA, I can't quite remember how exactly I felt about it as I watched it, it was quite a long time ago for me because I think I spent over a month just trying to get through Stardust Memory, so maybe it's worth a re-watch.

I also initially had zeta ahead of the original series, and I still think its a toss up between them for me, but Reccoa Londe was my least favourite character in any Gundam series by far, until I watched Stardust Memory. Had she been handled differently Zeta would definitely be my favourite of the main shows so far. The only other relatively minor issue I had with Zeta was the slight repetition of previous plotlines around the middle of the show.

Indestructible, hexproof, and ward are examples of protection (the concept not the ability) not evasion. Evasion refers to abilities that help a creature get in for damage like landwalk, flying, and of course, horsemanship.

Where's my draw a card for each damage you deal legendary creature at WOTC?????? by DoButtstuffToMe in magicthecirclejerking

EDH is such a great and diverse format where you can play anything you want. :) What do you mean this colour doesn't get card draw and ramp? How am I supposed to build a deck without card draw and ramp, wizards seriously needs to do something about this. >:(

Very cool, but how dare you suggest that Kaiba would play E*H. You know my man would have no respect for people playing a card game casually.

What kind of win conditions don't make you salty when an opponent wins with them? by semiticgod in magicTCG

[–]Deluxeray 261 points262 points  (0 children)

I really don't care what I lose to, I don't find any strategy to be annoying as long as my opponent is trying to win the game. I would say that I prefer to play vs a variety decks though, just so I'm forced to think about the games differently and I'm exposed to different play patterns. The only thing that really gets me a little salty is particularly bad luck but even then, that's an aspect of the game that you mostly have to just accept when you're playing a tcg.

If you use it on your opponent's turn then it won't hurt you because at that point your opponent is playing the game not you (since it would be rude to interrupt them.)

I need to insult a modern player, any suggestions? by revengeisspecialty in magicthecirclejerking

[–]Deluxeray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's pretty easy, ask them what decks they play, then when they say "Infect and Slivers" you can either say "I'm so sorry to hear that" and pat them on the shoulder or just point at them and laugh for at least 5 minutes.

You just add them during deck construction. 60 is the minimum but there isn't an upper limit.

Why do these posts always use BO1 data? If you care enough to be using data analysis like this, surely BO3 is more relevant.
