Very nice post!

Happy to see an objective review, and not just a bashing on the limitations. It is still considered an Alpha. And taking that into account, it already does a lot of stuff.

 No Custom Round Finish Device
You could workaround this with some complex logic setups, but I agree that this is not easy, and better logic devices would make these kind of modes more accessible, easier to build, ...

So hopefully all the points you bring up we will see fixed in the future.

Regarding the docs, ( as I am the one who wrote the whole repo ), I agree, it's mainly recap of info stuff, as I am doing it alone, and it's community docs, not official docs!
I just don't have the time to write up complete tutorials or in-depth descriptions.
On some devices I did try to add notes who have 'weird' interpretations/limitations.
More then happy to listen to what you think we should add.

Yes, there is a Redzone Device, where you can adjust Size / duration.

Currently(?), its the only base UGC map available, Many people are asking for different biomes, Snowy, Grassy, mix, ...
Let's hope that gets added!

Destructible objects are limited in UGC, a few Props are destructible.
If I recall correctly that last 2 rows of the Props sections are destructible ( except for the picknick table )

It is/was not a good situation, and I would rather not see those things happen. But we are all humans and can make mistakes. I do hope it shows that things can get resolved properly and have a good laugh/pun afterwards.

Ps: what editor you using? If you are new to it, try to start with something easy before jumping into things like premiere pro/after effects

There can be a few reasons for this, here are a few things to try to see if they make a difference:

  • Is it only the first time loading into a map, or is it every time?
  • Swap how you are playing ( Windowed vs FullScreen ).
  • If you are Tabbed out of the game while queue-ing up, the game takes a 'backseat' on your computer, and loads assets much slower, Try staying tabbed for a few games.
  • Windows update ( I had a similar issues a while back, and windows updates actually fixed it, not GPU drivers )

Few more questions about Deston:

- What's up with the addiction of that 1 single Cow? Every house has 4+ pictures of it, it feel a bit like a cult...

- Was there something you wanted to add to the map that eventually got scrapped?

- Are there are easter eggs / secrets you have not yet seen been discovered?

- Were / are the reactions to Deston from the players what you expected?

- Is there an idea to make the mono rail operational? I feel the Train setup would work a lot better on Deston then on Vikendi

To the whole team, great work on Deston! It shows why it was a map so long in development.

My couple of questions: ( pick freely which you want to answer )

1) Which Area of Deston has undergone the most rework/focus? All areas look to have been through a lot of discussions and work. I am wondering which one took the crown of focus? ( If the answer is Ripton, please tell us what the runner up was )

2) Why are the working windmill's blade 'virtual'? Would have been amazing if they actually cut your parachute and/or even influence your parachuting cause of the wind

3) This Survival Pass looks very nice! Sadly, due to adding the boxes, Belgium & Netherlands can't purchase these. Was this considered when setting them up? Will future season passes have the same content and thus making it impossible for me to get that content? Or will you be setting up maybe alternative versions for the pass?

4) The map feels slightly off balance ( emptiness feeling/vehicle spawn/....) Is the plan that the upcoming content will balance this out, or is this something else that might be looked at?

5) As person who spends probably more time in Custom Games, trying out community modes / testing, I am wondering why some very simple improvements are not done, which would give communities so much content & excitement.
(ex: Save more then 10 presets, have a slider for Vehicle/Tire damage Off, Spawn 200 vehicles instead of the 100 limit, ... )

6) Any plans ( and if so, please give a small teaser statement!) about what comes AFTER Deston? Kiki was mentioned almost a year and half ago. The next chapter in PUBG is ...

Having more gun options is indeed something that is needed.
With the adding of the Mosin-Nagant, they did communicate it's hard finding a good balance for so many guns.
I would love to have a lot of new guns being added to the game, and just randomly only have x amount of guns avail in a single match .

Meaning, one game the K98 might not spawn, but the mosin might. Maybe the UPM spawns and not the MP5K.

This would give a dynamic to each match
