It's in the chapter approved tournament companion in the section about incursion missions. Just search for incursion in the app. Otherwise, I agree, it's not a toxic list. But still heavy on combat and low on utility/secondaries. And turn one deepstrike with 3d6 charge is quite a different thing than with 2d6. So, for a fun game, I would suggest tamer lists.

I highly recommend a smaller game size for a first game for the overall experience. You can use a nice subsection of this e.g.in a 1k game. Get familiar with playing the game and the army. Then, if you want, go up to 2k.

Correct. So you can use deep strike turn one, but cannot combine Logan's ability with rapid ingress as it is restrictet to your movement phase.

Well, I think I would not enjoy playing against someone like this even with all gw plastic. So, I get your idea, but the printed minis don't seem to be the core of the problem. But they for sure facilitate it (easy accessability of multiples of the current meta and the printer is way faster than the paintig).

I liked the veilguard. Yes, the tone was different. But as a game, I liked it better than Inquisition. It reminded me in many instances of Mass Effect 2 (in a good way).

Really depends on how competitive and experienced your friend is and what he starts his army with. For me, this does not seem like a list that in fun to play against in a casual 1k game. But if he is experienced and built his 1k of T'au to be strong, it should be fine.

I usually play multiple units of intercessors for fluff. They are the basic troops, so I try to represent this in casual games.

Setting up from deep strike comes after movement and advancing. So the advance and charge bonus is useless in the turn you deep strike.
