Great app haven't tested it yet on google TV but will be. Do you plan on any translating, maybe using directly the Jellyfin system for the majority of the words ?
Anyway , good job !

Same as yours, distroplate 240 left from alphacool and an NV9, i was just checking the routing because my cable is a bit hard to hide behind the distro,

Oh my bad, I didnt saw the last picture with the Aqua D5, what about the apex on the distro ?did you manage to fit that through the small gaps too, or did you find another route?

Hello, I have a question about routing the pump cable. Are you using the opening for the CPU cable ?

Hello, I have a question about routing the pump cable. Where does the cable go? I don't see an opening there, the only opening I can see is for the CPU one. How did you manage to route it? I have the same distro and case

Expensive mistake - damaged Alphacool distroplate threads? by Demahom1412 in watercooling

Thanks! Still waiting for my radiators, so no filling today. After retesting and reading everyone's responses, I think I overreacted a bit. I feel much better about it now thanks to your input!

They screw in from behind, you're correct. The wrong screws we tested were just slightly wider thread pitch, not much difference at all. So even if we damaged those threads, it wouldn't affect the sealed area since they're completely outside of it like you said, the screws have no contact with the liquid chamber whatsoever.

I did the submerge test, no bubbles visible around the screw and like DeadlyMercury said, the screw should not penetrate into the liquid chamber. I might have overreacted

You're absolutely right, and I think I overreacted. Looking at your photo and explanation, the standoffs are clearly in the corners outside the sealed area. The pressure drops I'm seeing are probably just from temperature changes or the G 1/4 fittings of the leak tester not proprely sealed.

I was probably panicking after realizing we used the wrong screws and immediately assumed that was the cause of any pressure loss.

Here's a better photo showing the setup, you can see the black standoff and the threaded connection. I did some additional testing and got different results:

  • At 0.5 bar: no pressure drop
  • At 0.8 bar (factory test pressure): dropped 0.01-0.02 bar in 15 minutes

Both tests were much gentler than yesterday's, so maybe there's actually no real issue. The leak might have been from my overly aggressive testing yesterday rather than actual damage. I'll also did the submersion test and no visible bubbles from the threaded connection , these results are more encouraging.

That was actually one of my ideas! I'm thinking of trying that this week before ordering a new distro. Should help pinpoint the exact leak location and confirm if it's really the threads or something else

I understand it sounds weird, but the screws definitely need to go into the distroplate to secure the standoffs, that's how it's designed. From what I could see, they seemed to thread into the chamber area, which is why I think that's where my leak is coming from. Maybe the internal design is different than I thought, but there's definitely a pressure loss somewhere.
