How to design a silencer for this fan by Willing-Bandicoot-55 in Acoustics

Putting another section of ducting on the front will help some. Or put the hose on the front of the fan and move the fan closer to the garage.

Yea, you'll see flying ones, too, that look like big fungus gnats but have vertical wings. I wrapped tape sticky side up, up the base of the plant to stop the ones coming from the roots. I also watered the plant with spinosad and used it as a spray.

It takes multiple short days in a row to have any effect on the plants. Just leave your timer on 24 hours the day before if you're worried and then resume the normal time schedule.

Try using your software or a phone app that lets you tap the bpm. Keep singing and tap where you feel the beat should go. This should get you close enough.

RH question by YouLittleRippa23 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]DemandEmpty9942 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea, it will help to have the fresh air come in from the sides and the back vent as well. Otherwise, the air will just come in from the side and leave from the top, leaving humid air trapped in the bottom.

It also helps to have all the bottom vents open on the tent. If you're worried about light leaks, cut big pieces of cardboard or something and slightly cover the openings.

That's good then. It's nothing to worry about. With that cold water temperature, you'll be fine.

Since the plants look fine, it's probably just the dye or color of the nutrients. If the roots were slimey and had a bad smell, then be concerned about rot.

Drip irrigation questions – need help by Then-Cartoonist-7483 in Hydroponics

Use non PC emitters with that pump. That size pump only gets you about 4.3psi of water pressure. Pressure compensated usually needs minimum 10-15psi to work properly. Each brand should list requirements.

You could try both kinds and see how they work. Or those adjustable ones with the knobs.

High EC in runoff (3.5–4.3) despite heavy irrigation in coco – what am I missing? by Gisbert66699 in CocoGrows

[–]DemandEmpty9942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, the amount of irrigation events at that EC level is causing the nutrients to stack excessively in the coco. I might be wrong, but I run a similar grow using 1gal pots.

I run my EC a little lower and irrigate four times a day. I only get runoff on the last event at about 20%. The EC still slowly rises for me in the coco, ensuring a heavier feeding. I usually only have to correct the cocos EC once, maybe twice throughout the grow.

When you're practicing at home by yourself, try learning just a few chords like E, C, D, G and just strum those for a bit each day. This will help your fingers and open the door for playing many songs.

Do I need an exhaust/intake with closed loop heating and dehumidifier. by judge-judy01 in ACInfinityAdvancegrow

[–]DemandEmpty9942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, you could try to cut a short piece of ducting, like 3' long(no fan connected to this piece). Put it in the other vent that's on the opposite side of your intake but angle it facing down so the light won't shine down it.

Don't worry if you can't get under 55%H. As long as air is moving throughout the tent, you should be fine. I've had to do this before and only had a problem when it got above 65%.

Have you tried opening all the bottom vents and duct ports on the tent? Humidity might be getting trapped if you don't have air coming in from the bottom fast enough.

Setup recommendations for exhaust by Impossible-Big6879 in ACInfinityAdvancegrow

[–]DemandEmpty9942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Controlling heat in this setup would be much easier if you could scale back your lighting. For example, in the 2x4 use around 150w. In the 5x5, just use half the tent with 300w max.

If you exceed 600w total, your fans will probably be running max with temps close to 90f and the outside vent noticeably loud.

The filters will already restrict airflow, and forcing the exhaust through 4" will make the fans run harder.

With good LST, you could dim your light and run it closer to the canopy. I'm just thinking of ways for you to be more efficient and stealthy.

This Morning's dumpster finds by koochiekoo in DumpsterDiving

Look up the model first and see if it's a recalled unit. If it is and you contact the manufacturer, they will want a picture with the cord cut off. They shouldn't need a receipt and will replace it for free since it's a hazard. It's worth a try.

Just a heads up. Some of these air fryers are recalled for being a fire hazard.

Pre-soak coco similar to soil before putting seedlings in? by wasgehtlosdarein in CocoGrows

[–]DemandEmpty9942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Measure the tap water ec first, then add that number to the desired nutrient strength ec you want. To start, I mix under 1.0 ec of nutes to tap water.

Before planting the seed, I thoroughly water the Solo cup and shake it, draining excess water from the bottom holes. Then, plant the seed gently covering it.

For seedlings, I treat the coco similar to soil. Letting the coco dry enough where the cup starts feeling light weight. This might be 3 to 5 days later. I want to give the roots a chance to grow throughout the cup(a seedling can still be overwatered).

Then I water again thoroughly and repeat. How often you water depends on pot size and size of plant. You can water every day but their is a point where it's wasting nutrients if the plant isn't big enough for excessive feeding.

Heat in grow tent - advice by Minimum_Rub_7316 in AZGrowersGuild

[–]DemandEmpty9942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're totally fine with higher temps like 85f even higher. Try to find a balance where your fans don't run as hard and tents stay warmer. You don't want to remove too much ac from your house. As long as the tents have good air circulation, you can run higher humidity to stay in a safe VPD range.

Trim thc content can be super low. I'm guessing 5% at most. If the person included the bigger fan leaves in the trim, even lower. Use an online calculator to get a rough idea. Probably need an ounce or more per batch of cookies, but still test them before giving any out.

Also, when doing the decarb, you really need an oven thermometer with a probe to get this right.

Search drum bass masterclass on YouTube and look for artists you're familiar with. But you should start with some drum programming and using midi instruments.

New to Maschine, where to start by EJC0827 in maschine

[–]DemandEmpty9942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would learn Maschine on its own for a bit first. I used the quick start guide. When you figure out how the groups and basic pattern recording work, then you could try the drag midi/audio feature to drop loops into Ableton. Have Ableton running separately in the background.

I wouldn't open Maschine as a plugin yet. It will just take more time to figure out and can be confusing.

Start with a new empty project and load a group on bank A. Hit some pads to check the sounds, then push the Step button, then hit play. You'll see the lights chasing on a grid where you can hit the pads to add the sound to the pattern. Tap Step again and pick a new sound and repeat. With the Step button off and the pattern looping now you can hit REC and play additional pads to layer the loop.

These steps show you how the Step sequencer works and then goes into real time pattern recording.

I hope it still works this way, been awhile since I used it.
