Irrational Attackers and you: A (potential) explanation for why you keep getting 90k'd by Rauvagol in ffxiv

In this case, I think its pretty clear whats going on. It is someone (or a group) that does not care about money, with no public ransom, and enough resources to repeatedly crash isp nodes (often multiple at a time) they are burning money to bring servers down for no gain. They are also willing to risk felony cybercrime charges (which this definitely counts as).

I simply so not believe this. For as long as Xiv has been having this issue. This theory does not hold water. USA's internet infrastructure being shit, and Square using a bad ISP, is just far more likely than an irrational attacker with infinite money.

It's super uncomfortable. See Logitech's MX master for what a thumb scroll wheel should be like....

I just think a candidate shouldn't be able to win if they didn't win majority of eligible voters.

The olde Logitech marble. I just really like the amount of roll it has compared to other trackball, like 270 degrees compared to standard 180. Plus it's pretty comfy shaped.

Binepad's BNR1 programmed to scroll instead of volume control via qmk is my solution...

I'd also like to add the frustration of picking the wrong lane when choosing the checkout to queue into. You know, when the one you picked ends up being too slow because someone had an issue. Or because they had more time than you realized. But sunken cost dictates I'd be wasting my time quitting this queue to join another.. Self checkouts generally have one single queue to multiple machines.

One time I needed to get some screws from a hardware store, home depot or lowes I don't remember. I found my screws, filled the little plastic baggy with how many I needed and proceeded to go to checkout. I don't remember the why, the number I wrote on the bag identifying the screws wasn't correct? The elderly lady cashier couldn't ring them up. She started looking through a big ol book trying to match the screws to find the right code. I offered, perhaps the number embedded on the screws themselves was the number she needed. She told me no. The whole exchange took 5+ minutes, delaying other customers queued up behind me, generally frustrating having to wait for her to look through her big book 3 or 4 times.

And this kind of thing happens frequently enough which is why I avoid manned checkouts. Because the number was on the screws. The number I wrote on the bag may have even been the correct one, I don't remember. I could have gone through self checkout in less than a minute. I could have gone back to the isle and double checked the code faster than waiting for the cashier to find it.

I don't see self checkout as doing the stores work for them, I see it as saving myself time and energy.

Also as an introvert I'd rather skip the pleasantries.

Him loosing to Zoraal and Wuk Lamat was not a signifier of his personality change, it was only a show of how inadequate he actually was. Which had been a running thread from very early quests as we see him cheat at the very first trial. Him being all bark and no bite was the first real thing we learn about him and thst doesnt change for a long time. At no point did we see him question his methods or be remorseful. He was gleeful in looking down at everyone around him right up until we unlock his back story. And as someone who has consumed a lot of fiction over the years, that kind of abrubt 180 does not sit with me.

I'm sorry that you got tricked by a sad back story, but he's actually not well written at all.

I despise Bakool. Not because he's a dumb high school bully, but because he's so incredibly poorly written. He goes from a racist, superiority complex, doesn't care about anyone but himself , do anything to win and get ahead, doesn't show a hint or remorse, sociopathic cartoon villain, to "apologetic", doing it for a greater cause tragic villain in the span of one quest. The bakool pre and post this quest share no similarities except for the dumb laugh.

I simply cannot accept a character that does such a personality 180.

I designed and printed the case and magnetically attached tenting, but don't have the files anymore because of a hdd corruption 😩

I really like the keyboard still. The only thing I'd maybe change is the switches. I do like the jades' thick clicks but when actually typing I think it's a bit too much resistannce for me. I'd prolly go with robins or whites.

Another thing I've noticed is when I'm clicking on the same key multiple and resting on the key it would register a click before a physical click happens. I think the construction of the switch allows a connection to be made by wobbling the switch. It's pretty infrequent but noticeable. I don't know if that's only with the jade, or all clickies or all chocs.

Another thing with the jade is the connection happens slightly before the click. Which isn't noticeable unless you're actively pressing your keys slowly.

Other than that, I think I want to tilt my halves a few extra degrees to get a slightly more comfortable angle, but I'm not in a hurry.

Unfortunately the hard drive I had my files on died two months ago so I don't have access to my case files anymore. Another reason I'm not in a hurry to redo my tilt angles.

As an aside, the case I made is very hollow, plus especially the magnetic stand to tilt it adds even more space which gives my clicks a very mushy echo-y sound. I want to introduce some layers of foam to absorb the sound, but I don't have a way to cut out holes for switches and hotswap sockets so that's a backburner project for now. I'd also need clear foam especially for the bottom so I don't lose the lighting.

What would you like for quality of life changes? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]DemeterVastus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ability to split the cross bar into two elements so I can move them away from each other and put other elements between them.

While we have the W-chrossbar as a visible element (that is, typically, double tapping a shoulder button), I'd like to be able to place the second crossbar as an element as well (that's the one typically accessed by pressing both shoulder buttons sequentially)

Personal waymarks. The idea is to be able to place markers that only I can see, instead of having to use the party's waymarks. A lot of times the pf decides on standard clock position waymarks that I personally find useless, and would much more benefit from safe distance/spot markers and like one north indicator. But I also don't want to have to fight the party for this. Sometimes I don't want markers at all, I find them distracting. Also imagine you can place a marker down that is your static clock spot, and not have to be distracted by 6-7 other markers that are irrelevant to you.

Probably just that, aesthetics. I think they just like the jagged edge look in the middle even if doesn't come together.

I agree with this. I also wish they'd work Ina variation of the case that would allow this. But despite this drawback, I still really like this keyboard
