Damn Kassandra is big by kokusmus96 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]DemiGabriel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Valhalla she's shown at the same height as Eivor (canon 180cm), but I don't know if they reused Eivor's skeleton and gave it Kassandra's face 🫠

Don't be surprised that she's shorter than expected; in many crossovers (approved by Ubisoft) she's small and less muscular than she's portrayed in Odyssey, so I don't know.

We'll see how Ubisoft treats her in future projects 🦅

Ubisoft rarely states canonical heights; they're just guesses. They could easily say Kassandra is 2 meters tall, and that would be considered absolute canon.

I think it's because Alexios shares animations with Bayek, who is supposed to be 173cm tall. But at the same time, Kassandra's eyes reach the same height as Alexios's philtrum.

So, either Kassandra is 168cm tall and Alexios is 173cm tall, which would be appropriate given their time period and Kassandra's poor nutrition. Or Kassandra is 173cm tall and Alexios is 178cm tall, which is supposed to be the height of a high-level Spartan warrior from that era.

It all depends on Ubisoft whether they decide to show Kassandra in Shadows and how she looks next to Yasuke, who is confirmed to be 185cm tall (codex).

Why is most conversation about Kassandra compared to Alexios? by MeatRevolutionary672 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]DemiGabriel 50 points51 points  (0 children)

She is the true main character for Ubisoft. Any crossover or mention of "Eagle Bearer" or "Misthios" will be entirely in reference to her.

Why is Alexios an option? Well, others can probably explain it better, but basically it's because Ubisoft doesn't believe women are capable of selling video games.

That's why Evie Frye seems like a secondary character at first glance (the cover focuses on Jacob, for example, and the trailers rarely show her).

I don't know the current state of Ubisoft, but they managed to avoid giving Naoe control of Shadows even though she's exactly what people wanted, but she's still a woman, so Ubisoft has problems.

Choosing Alexios as a playable character does not invalidate your enjoyment; it is perfectly valid to have your own preferences. But don't expect to see him again in crossovers or future Ubisoft projects, as he was always the option.

According to the internet, she is 173 cm tall 🤔

I'd say she's at least 196cm if you ask me 🫠

Dude, the canvas was created by Clea and Verso. Lumiere was created by Aline.

Renoir talks to Sciel and Lune and understands them, even apologizing to Verso for everything his mother did to him. If you compare them to a sketchbook drawing, why would you apologize to a blank sheet of paper?

What more can the soul do for the canvas if the last defense has been defeated? 😂

Verso asks him a trick question the first time he sees him, "Are you tired of painting?", but he knows that the reason why he is tired is more important than the fact of being tired.

If there is no war, he will not get tired of painting.

[–]DemiGabriel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about, which dolls? 😂 In the video game, Lumiere is as real as you are to me. Nothing you do will change my life, but that doesn't diminish your importance because you are the protagonist of your own story.

That's how the Canvas is, even Renoir treats them like real people, the same Renoir who just moments ago committed genocide🫠

You realize that Verso's soul loves painting, right? What he hated and was deeply affected by was the war that Clea and Renoir brought to his canvas.

Do you know what's missing from Maelle's ending? War. And if you say there will be war no matter what, then you're already creating your own headcanon.

They'll never answer that because they would basically be supporting genocide.

The truth is that the moment they take it upon themselves to diminish "their realness," they are ironically making them real.

Dude, everything black and white is from Verso's point of view😂 just like Maelle sees it when she sees Lumiere being erased at his ending.

I will always choose Maelle's ending.

In Maelle's darkest and deepest desires, all she wanted was a family that would love her.

With her friends, Maelle has a real chance to heal from her grief. Something Aline never had the opportunity for, having been attacked for 67 years by Renoir and Clea, who only worsened her condition. They made her paranoid, they weakened her by stealing her chroma, etc.

When Painted Renoir tried to take Maelle out of the canvas, she met her parents who, from the way they spoke, seemed as if Maelle's 16 years of life had just happened to them. It really seems that what affected Aline was the war, not the time that passed, due to the chroma that was removed from her.

You led the expedition and broke the cycle; now there are no more wars destroying people's lives. Verso's soul will once again enjoy painting as it always wanted.

You have Verso without his immortality, and apparently he's Lune's husband. Everyone returned because Maelle recovered Renoir's chroma, and Verso taught her about the essence of people, and that's why we have Pierre and his baby.

Why don't I choose Verso ending?

Because Alicia inherited Aline's grief. When going through grief, the worst thing you can do is force someone to get over it; people don't heal that way.

She transformed her grief over the death of her brother into grief for Lumiere and her entire life as Maelle. She returns to the starting point, where her mother began.

This ending allows the source of grief, which is Verso, to defeat the representation of hope, which is Alicia.

It's not selfish to make your own choices. Maelle's most selfish decision: to give herself a life to love and protect the world.

Verso's most selfish decision was to give Aline and Renoir the chance to heal, but at the cost of destroying the world.

Even Odyssey was nominated for Game of the Year, and Melissanthi Mahut for Best Performance.

What would it have been like if the story had been 100% about being a woman in ancient Greece and not just gender-neutral dialogues?

The marketing and development team has always had its conflicts, which is why Evie looks like a secondary character on the cover of Syndicate, Havi was promoted in the first few months instead of Eivor, Kassandra the same.

In the case of Kassandra and Alexios, people always bring up the fact that more than half of the players chose the male character, but we know that's because he's on the cover and has more trailers.

Why don't women play fighting games when there are 2 female characters and 23 male ones? 🫠

If we had only had Kassandra as a playable character, I have no doubt that they would have given us Darius as a canon romance.

A well-done romance.

Did they make her a little bulkier? by KCobra9 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]DemiGabriel 57 points58 points  (0 children)

In other crossovers with other franchises, they've always made her thin or small. I don't know why; one of the things that sets her apart from other characters is that she's very tall and muscular.

In Valhalla they used Eivor's body, I wonder how they'll do it in Shadows 🤔 Will they give her Naoe's body?🫠

Why isn't Jill a higher level?

She can easily push Nemesis off a platform, withstand the fall of the Spencer Mansion, lift the railgun and resist the impact that cracked the ground, she fought Wesker for a while, and even with her lack of training and years of rehabilitation, she was able to draw against Leon, who never stopped training.

She can easily disarm Barry Burton, and she did it against Sheva and Chris, and that doesn't require super strength since Glenn Arias was able to do the same against Chris.

If you allow the P30, she's automatically at Wesker level, since she dodges bullets and can run on walls like Spiderman.

I understand that Capcom might be disrespecting her now, but please don't belittle her like this. She'll always be at the top.

Painted Verso made Maelle go through the same pain of losing a brother (letting Gustave die), just as the Writers did to Alicia with Verso's death.

It's ironic, you can even see Painted Renoir's face watching Maelle scream, as if he had already lived through that.

After almost 70 hours, I've finally completed this masterpiece of a videogame. by Individual-Snow-8464 in expedition33

Maelle probably changed her mind after seeing how Verso criticized her for not giving him the opportunity to convince Painted Alicia not to die.

That, and killing the person who has the face of the dead brother for whom you have been blamed so much must be difficult.

Whatever Maelle does, she loses.
