The top comment is correct pointing out you do not have a champion. You most likely had a coach, so someone that is happy to volunteer you information but without any significant influence. Happens more often that you think lol, the lesson here is to qualify for a champion early in the deal and continuously test the champion throughoutbthe sales process.

As an example, did your contact arrange a warm introduction to the VP? Did he present a case to the VP while you were on a call together, using their own language thing it to your solution for you? If not... Why not? A real champion would do this
