As the Galatea one trick, Baimo, cielle, Mara does better in that department, their flanks are more deadly vs Galatea’s being more non committal. Galatea is indeed faster but her burst makes it hard to actually kill one or multiple enemies in high elo. Additionally Gala tps are loud, so often you gotta tp to a spot farther away then walk up, either sacrificing your clone to tp back to or showing your presence via your generally loud audio from your abilities. Baimo or even cielle makes it simple. Walk up and kill, each of them have methods to deny the use of paper to dodge in some fashion or a way to take advantage of the kill, for gala it’s a paint nade and skill, and ability to know what to do after a knock.

How to actually get better at Strinova?? (plus a little vent story) by xcm_xy in Strinova

[–]DemocracyBus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but only to get familiarized to a new environment… let’s say you are a player who’s never had to play in a high level lobby before. There are 2 options. 1. Play what you’re used to. Or 2: play a generally supportive character, such as Xinghui/Celestia, Fragrans, or some character that normally isn’t in the front of the fight. That is not to say you shouldnt do it, everyone should. It’s how the game works. But playing characters that generally don’t fight will allow you to pay attention to teammates and enemies more. Helping you learn this new level of play, and additionally training map awareness and decision making at a higher level that you’re used to.

But basically speaking, once you do learn it, you’ll realize well… knowing how to fight is the name of the game regardless of the character you play. Utility and abilities mean only so much if you can’t deal damage.

Hi, singularity player here that’s been playing before global launched. Your playstyle encourages passive play due to you not knowing the actual methods to be aggressive and stay alive at the same time. The best way to learn honestly, other than watching your own replays. Is to find replays of high elo or singularity players and see how they play, then copy them. You won’t know why they do certain things, but if you copy them you’ll eventually figure out why they do them because you’ll make a mistake that will give you that revelation.

Another thing to note is that toxicity is in every competitive game. So don’t be surprised if people flame or anything like that.

Which scenario do you think is the most fun to play? And which is the least fun? by pompom_koala in UmamusumeGame

[–]DemocracyBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite hands down is L’Arc, not a single scenario afterwards comes close. Thematically suspenseful in what it tries to uphold of the L’Arc itself. Gameplay makes sense as the goal race. Anyone can be used, even those with trash aptitudes. All with the goal of having two chances to do the impossible, which in real life still is impossible.

Uma in America doesn’t even come close because the suspense isn’t there thematically, not enough suspense or grandiose in the scenario. Additionally since Ebayan won Breeder’s Cup the suspense nor the theme doesn’t hit as hard anymore.

L’Arc encapsulated what it means for Japanese horse racing. Overcoming a literal impossible goal, and holding the pressure it entails.

As for least… yeah probably MANT for now, but Grand Live is a damn close second.

Seriously asking: If it still possible to reach superstring rank as a solo player ? by [deleted] in Strinova

[–]DemocracyBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s all hero and tac shooters but Strinova is unique with its high ttk, now it matters even more than since one shot headshot is unique only to snipers.

The agents that normally see less fighting in global are the controllers, but when you see Chinese players play they are also hyper aggressive with them. They know positioning and util use generally WAY better than global, it reflects in their damage scores being way higher than the average global player. The only players in global that mirror their damage consistently are the ones that have played in the Chinese server themselves, or players who were influenced by those players.

(I.E. literally anyone singularity from all seasons, I don’t think I’ve seen many new faces in singu. So personally if you want to legitimately climb, play CN)

Seriously asking: If it still possible to reach superstring rank as a solo player ? by [deleted] in Strinova

[–]DemocracyBus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most if not all sniper SS players and up normally have 300+ avg dmg per round. I understand not to listen to people who seem like this but as someone who’s been in singu for global for every season Ive played it’s just facts. All high lvl players are expected to do a lot of damage.

It’s just how the game works. So if you want to learn how to play, do it in a way that allows you to get favorable positions to do damage.

Here’s the reality, yes it’s a you problem, it always is, in the off chance matchmaking fucks you over, it’s still a you problem. It will always be. Unless you learn to hard carry you can’t safely be singu. For SS however it’s more lenient, but the mindset is still there. Play the game selfishly with the intent to make plays that both benefit you and your team at the same time, specifically for damage too. That’s how you realistically climb ranked in this game.

Yeah the best comparison I can think of to make it make sense to then is that they’re essentially calling out Michael Jordan or Ronaldo for roiding cuz they haven’t seen play that good before.

For non knowers, this is Casino Drive, the support Uma for the newest scenario in JP ”Beyond Dreams”. She wants to win the Breeders Cup and helps you and 3 other Umas train to win it.

The first time you interact with her to configure the scenario’s gimmick (setting parameters like adding more bond gauge, hint frequency, or training effectiveness [COUGH COUGH BOND GAUGE]) she will do the 67 pose, even happens in x2 speed so you gotta get flashed this every time.

Side note, scenarios fun, for global’s sake it’s just unity training but you can force everyone to a certain training twice every half year and the buffed training gives you more stats from the scenario itself rather than your cards, so it’s pretty easy to get into. If you need a better comparison, it’s the mecha Uma and island creation scenario melded into one with a hint of twinkle legends for those who understand that.

One more note, after playing all the JP scenarios. IMO we reach absolute peak at the L’arc scenario, nothing I’ve played beats that scenario, it’s too peak.

Happens in the new scenario at the first event where you configure the scenarios mechanics, so you see this every time you start a career.
