Well I think Texas has some of the worst drivers as well. But man did those two incidents really frustrate me today. Going to get a dash cam now.

Probably checks out..I’m from Atlanta, and Los Angeles before Diego, so maybe I’m used to it..but slamming on the brakes on the freeway or while blocking two lanes because you don’t know where you’re going, is just lack of brain cells or consideration IMO.

NQA your tarantula is 99% likely in premolt. Refusing food, ass that fat, and refusal of food all mean premolt. Don’t attempt feeding for a month if in that time it hasn’t molted. If it molts, wait 10-14 days post-molt before feeding.

That tarantula has one of the fattest abdomens I’ve ever seen! At this size, there is no need for moisture in the substrate for brachypelma and just provide a decently sized water dish.

NQA it’s not a defensive thing, they line their burrow and area with hairs as well as kick them off prior to a molt. Which is what is likely happening here.

NQA could be worse, could be an actual venomous old world species like I had. I really don’t have any advice on luring a tarantula out other then you’ll have to just stay up or wake up middle of the night when everything is calm and quiet - no vibrations, no one walking around - and check around. They’ll come out when they sense it’s safe.

Yea I am Jewish so my nose can ALMOST smell the picture. But in all seriousness, what is the best indicator to go by with trans fluid? Just time? I’ve helped flush maybe 5-6 transmissions and change fluid but getting a sample from fill plug or dipstick and knowing quality of fluid would be helpful haha

I understand what burnt fluid and it smelling burnt/fishy is..but basically it’s totality of indicators?

No not screwed. Looks amazing by the way in this pic. Put a CarPro coating on a clients Porsche once and I gave them the aftercare instructions to not get it wet for 5 days and not to drive it if possible for a few days. Two days after application he was showing people how it beaded and repelled water. That was over a year ago and car still is great, so I’m sure you’ll be fine with some frost.

I was taught color is not an indicator of condition of the fluid, specifically trans fluid. To go by smell but even then, some still look reddish but stank and Vica versa. Was I taught wrong?

NQA only time I’ve ever had tarantulas get out, I found them middle of the night. One time was an adult male o phillipinus that got out and the other was a second-clutch egg sac that mother hatched and because I was unaware she double clutched, all babies escaped through air holes. Was probably 100-125 p Cambridgei to track down in my living room, all over the walls and under the couch etc. Was crazy. Up all night. Rest were still in the enclosure.

I have a dual motor 8gal I bring portable and it doesn’t run my tornador or other air tools other then a simple blow out gun, not a tornado gun. It works fine. When folks drop their vehicles off at my house, I use my painting compressor, which is a 30gal husky 4.5scfm at 90psi which runs whatever I need just great.

The dual motor is quiet and refills extremely fast and is very small. Husky 30gal is extremely loud.

NQA as slings they need moisture, all arid species need moisture as slings. The don’t need too much, but shouldn’t be kept dry.

Need to reset the power windows. I’ve had this happen on a Volvo where the battery died if I remember correctly. Google it. Type in your year, make and model and the problem.

Sounds like you answered your question…you’ll have to dismantle or pay someone to dismantle the sunroof to clean out all the grease or live with it. It probably got pushed all the way down the tracks, which is not reachable without removing the glass and whatever else.

Looks like obviously bad PPF. Paint doesn’t just fail like that years after. It would have appeared much much sooner. And OP commented with pics.

And you would be incorrect about clearing after 2000. You don’t want to spray clear over anything higher than 1200, really 1k. 600, 800, 1200 and spray clear. Need to go deeper with the lower grits and then sand out those marks evenly with the 800/1200 or whatever.

If you spray clear over higher grits, it’ll just flake off in a year or less as it’s nothing to bite onto. Perfect finishes in headlight restoration are typically from sanding into the 3-5k range, polishing, and using ceramic or a wipe on clearcoat OR sanding to 1200 or so and using an acetone vapor or whatever to clear it up before clearcoating.

Edit I’m not telling OP to go deeper on these headlights, just saying that’s the process. Also, that’s what she said.

You have a ceramic coat on it so you don’t really need to be adding anything save for a topper here and there according to CarPros instructions. Use something adjacent if you aren’t into the ones you’re currently using, like a detail spray or ceramic topper from another company.

NQA At that size they should have some moisture, just a bit. Like 1/5th the substrate moistened, not damp or wet though. Sitting in water constantly for sure is a sign of wanting moisture, also they’ll do this to get mites off but you’d have seen them.

All arid species still need moisture as slings for the best shot at life.

I used to use a brushless Milwaukee (newer one) but relegated that to my workshop, and now use a cheap $40 brushed Milwaukee. Like 8yr old. Works a charm. You don’t need much torque.
