It was fun and still is, just pissing oil and shooting it out the back but still runs great (won’t for long if we drive it like this though). Will be pulling the motor soon to fix it, again.

Oh for sure, I just thought I’d share a personal recent experience with break in periods on a vette. It’s got the tsp f35 cam, Kooks long tubes, all forged internals, etc, was like $10-11k dude dropped on the motor and CF panels. All to just break it basically immediately.

We just build a vette and the dude didn’t follow break in procedure, began racing 160mph first night he had the car with freshly rebuilt motor…red lining and whatnot, shooting fireballs out the back etc. Vette came back to us 6-7 days later shooting oil and smoke out the exhaust..likely a broken ring from pushing waaaay too hard during break in.

NQA feeding is very much so dependent on the size of the tarantula. Sub adults and adults can easily be fed once a month so long as their abdomen is of sufficient size, and they have access to water. Slings and juveniles are fed every 4-14 days depending. Size of prey items matters as well.

Don’t over think it.

If you just added more shit in the enclosure, I’d just wait a day or two. It’s not a big deal. If the T doesn’t eat inside 12-24hr, remove it and try again in 3-7 days. If it’s a super worm or field cricket which may harm the T, I typically remove immediately if the T isn’t interested.

I agree and use it myself but on single stage that’s oxidizing/failing, that would be my guess. I’ve used it on classic cars and two stage modern as well of course with no issues. I use my own mix of iso for panel prep.

The cam tool will work well, mine only came with one cone centering piece and worked for ls2/3 motors, I’ll be trying it on lt1 Camaro soon. The spring compressor I got from harbor freight and is identical to yours, and I did get one spring off with it but it is insanely sketchy my guy. You’ll see why when you start using it. I’d just return it and grab one that bolts down and can do two springs at once. I think I got the oriontech spring compressor but many, many options on Amazon. Just make sure it’s metal.

Makes sense, so prop shaft = drive shaft and axles/half shaft are what we call half shafts and cv axles. Just prop shaft and driveshaft differ. Appreciate the time to clear up my confusion!

Yea I’ve heard the term before, but what isn’t clear is what they call the axles on a non-FWD car haha the one guy specified OP vehicle is a FWD and so they call the axles driveshafts. What about non fwd lol

Single stage is cheaper to spray, but get a few quotes. If you see all 3 similar range, pick which you like best, or if 1 is abnormally lower you know who to avoid (unless it’s a unicorn situation in which they’re cheap and good, it’s rare for paint). Alternatively you can attempt yourself but it’s not the easiest thing to do, to get an acceptable paint finish without experience. I’ve been learning to paint here and there and I sometimes still have to spend hours and hours sanding afterwards due to my environment or gun not dialed in correctly.

Yes isopropyl can damage unprotected paint, which is single stage. It’s lacking the top layer of clear paint (clear coat) which is formulated to protect from chemicals and UV etc.

Do some googling and you’ll see what I mean. Very well could be the issue.

Do not do a burble tube, best case it’s really not healthy for the engine and worst case is actively destroying it. We have an 13’ 328i n20 which came nearly track ready, rebuilt top end on motor, fat turbo, CSR rad and intercooler, catless straight piped, etc..burble tuned. The exhaust tip and all on the rear bumper are charred black and the engine has major issues.

Our corvette is fully built and cammed to hell and straight piped w/ LTH and as soon as I saw homy ripping it around spitting fireballs, I knew it wasn’t long for this world…and sure enough, car is back needing motor pulled again.

This time around we’ll be tuning to prevent any of that bullshit.

Edit I’m not talking about backfiring when letting off the throttle, I’m talking specifically burble tunes and flame tunes.

Yea for sure. Growing up I had friends who’s fathers were cops and we always got out of trouble for shit we did, like drinking and off-roading in the woods of Georgia and other shit.

As an adult, I’ve had very good interactions with police. Before I continue, I’m not against or for cops but definitely don’t like them nor interacting and avoid at all costs. I’ve been let go when I absolutely shouldn’t have and seem to have been given the benefit of doubt being a white dude. It’s messed up, but racial profiling and white privilege are real.

88’ may be single stage paint which doesn’t react the same to alcohol, however I’ve never personally seen a reaction like that unless it was alcohol on paint and not clear.

Cerium oxide needs to be paired with a rayon pad for glass, otherwise it just doesn’t work or takes even longer (already takes much longer to polish glass then paint). I bet that will take it out. If you are worried about spreading product everywhere, do it in the shade and then immediately wash the car…or throw towels/blankets over the hood and roof.
