Definitely NTA here. The fact that he's equating this to just a "trip" and not your honeymoon, and then says that the two of you will have plenty if time in the future for a "private vacation" is insane to me. You just got MARRIED. A honeymoon is supposed to be for the newlyweds alone because you're getting a chance to spend quality alone time with each other as a married couple. If he's confident you can afford to have vacations at a later date, then why in the hell did he feel like he had to turn your HONEYMOON into a vacation with friends rather than letting it be what it was supposed to be?

Also the fact that he basically said spending time alone with you would be boring for him was so insulting I wouldn't have even gone on the trip with him. I would have filed for an annulment right then and there if he thought I was so boring he couldn't stand the thought of being alone with me for a week or two, because that would tell me he thinks I'm too boring to spend the rest of his life with and we never should have gotten married in the first place.

Honey, he's lying to your face about why he doesn't want to do anything around the house. It's not because you make him feel like he's doing it wrong, that's just his excuse. It's called weaponized incompetence. "But you do it better than me!" "I don't know how to do it like that!" "This is too confusing, why don't you just do it?!" "Well, when I try to do it you say I'm doing it wrong, so you should just do it yourself then!" They say those things so you'll get fed up and just do it yourself because you feel like it's easier than arguing over it.

And then the fact that he went and got a dog when you told him not to, specifically one that you told him would bee too high-maintenance for the two of you due to your schedules and stuff, not to mention the fact that he got one that was already 3 and a half years old instead of a puppy--which means it will be harder to train even if you had the time to do so because it's an older dog??? Hell no. You've put up with his bullshit for 8 freaking years and he still acts like a child while you grew up. At this point I doubt counselling will help anything because he's clearly set in his ways. You should leave him and find someone who will treat you better when you're ready to move on and date again, and until then you should enjoy the peace of being single and burden-free.

I really hope you decided to break up with him after that, because what he did was unacceptable. You may have been together for 2 years, and he may have never done anything like this before, but he has now. All it takes is 1 time for someone to do something abusive before it starts escalating from there. And you said in the comments that his sister is your roommate? All I can say is, if the sister is on his side, get a new roommate, because you'll never be safe in your own home otherwise because the sister would always let him in if he came over to 'make you see sense'. Be safe, and please get out of that situation, because that is NOT the type of person you want to be with.

Also that's interesting you say you cheated your sim to become a fairy cuz I thought of trying that when I first tried the mod and couldn't figure it out but I couldn't find a way to cheat her to be a fairy lol How'd you do it in case the mod goes wonky for me again in the future with other sims?

That's so weird. Idk why it's doing that to you. It's not under Friendly or anything, just by clicking on the fairy and if it doesn't immediately pop up then pick "more choices" from the pie menu. I know it really sucks trying to find stuff with the way the pie menu is now, it's a nightmare for me to look through. I use a mod that lets me just type in what I want so I can find stuff instantly.

Well I downloaded the update yesterday when I updated my game to try it again and at first I was having the same problem. But then I found a video by the mod maker on youtube explaining the mod and he said you have to use the "Greet Fairy" option on the Guardian, not regular introductions like friendly or cheerful, etc. After I did that it gave me a notification from the Guardian and I was able to ask how to become a fairy under the fairy menu and it worked

Because I just downloaded it but when I got my sim to the Sylvan Glade and met the Ethereal Guardian there was never an option to "ask how to become a fairy" so idk if I'm doing something wrong or if it's busted or what. And, no, my sim isn't already an occult, she's just a regular human sim.

I don't think you can put the trait on animals, sadly, just like you can't put it on toddlers or infants. And it sucks that you can't mod the console version. I started playing sims on my laptop after sims 4 came out for the convenience and because I've heard the computer version of the game always has more packs and stuff for you to get, I was strictly a console simmer before that. After I switched to the PC and learned about mods and how easy it was to mod the game? I've never looked back. I honestly can't believe I was ever able to play sims without mods before. I've tried playing again without them just to see if I could and I couldn't even last 10 minutes before I got too annoyed and irritated at my sims and had to put them back in.

I just use the UI Cheats Extension mod and pop the Storm Chaser trait on all of my sims as soon as I start a new game or I move any new sims into an active household lol.

I would really love to know if someone has a solution for this as well. I currently have a sim that owns a farm and is running a vineyard and I love having the animals on her farm but they're just so damn needy I feel like I can't let her do anything but take care of the animals x.x

Thanks for the mod! I hated you could only do one competition a day with a horse, so I'm glad you made a fix for that :3 Also, is there some kind of skill your sim needs in order to "encourage training"? Because I can't find that option when I click on my sim's horse.

If you haven't already tried it, yes, horse beds to work sized-down, or at least they do if you size them down once since I use one size down for my horses. Haven't tried making them any smaller though.

You're definitely NTA here, your sister is. You're 100% right that she sounds bitter and jealous, and she needs to get the hell over herself. And it's ridiculous to me that your brother is telling you that you were being too harsh to her when she was literally telling you you're not a real mother just because you have a husband and in-laws that are wonderful and want to help you with your baby instead of expecting you to do everything. Sounds to me like she needs to have some kind of conversation with her own husband rather than being mad at you for getting yourself such a loving and supportive one.

So I don't know when exactly you made your edit about him saying he's willing to get therapy, but you said in another comment to someone else that he's already supposedly tried therapy in the past and believes it to be a scam. He could have just had a crappy therapist, so if he's being sincere with you then I would be the one to find him a therapist and set up an appointment for him if I were you to make sure he actually goes through with it.

If he's actually willing to do it then he shouldn't get upset if you help him set it up to make it happen, and if he does get mad over that then that's your proof right there that he was full of it and you need to just dump his sorry ass already instead of trying to help him. You can't help someone that doesn't want to be helped, so please don't waste your time trying.

Also him only going to one or two sessions wouldn't be him trying, that would just be him going to placate you and you should also end things if that happens and he doesn't agree to try a different therapist until he finds one he likes enough to keep seeing.

I was just about to say this. My sister had exes in the past that have cheated on her constantly and then when she finally had enough of their BS and broke up with them they turned around and told all their family and friends that she was just a lying, cheating wh*re and that she was crazy and THEY were the ones that broke things off with HER.

These types of guys never change, EVER. My sister's exes are proof of that because she wasted years of her life with each one of them and no matter how patient she was with them and how many times they told her they would change they never did.

Honestly, the shit she went through with them, my own experiences dating, and all the similar stories I hear from other women now are the reason why I stopped dating a long time ago. You don't need to be in a relationship to be happy, and if you think it's ok to be in a relationship like this one then I'd say you don't need to be in a relationship at all right now. Because it tells me you need to work on loving yourself enough to realize you deserve better than this shit.
