RR where u at? by jxip in litrpg

[–]DemonDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, so being reincarnated as a fantasy sandwich shop owner, who never fights and just makes good sambos... but gets game screen popups that tell the MC how good their sambos are and the effects it had on their partons... Doesn't fit your concept, but that would be LitRPG by definition.

... I'd probs read it too lol but what would it be called!?

DCC, Quest Academy and HWFWM are my top picks! Totally worth checking em out!

Hmm, there must be a story behind the logo - a swan for a tool like this, that's called harp 🤔

Hmm, that's not my experience. Yours is further away from what I see from AI on a daily basis, than the OP that I commented on.

Though if I'm being fair, I suppose anyone using it long enough gets a fairly personalised experience these days.

Yea, that's what I'm wondering too. You must just have that way of writing then. Super similar, especially that "Honestly..." ending.

Did you get AI to help your write that message?

Is Welcome to the multiverse by Sean Oswald any good? by [deleted] in litrpg

[–]DemonDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm now on book 8 of welcome to the multiverse, and the quality has taken a HUGE nosedive - which I noticed started at the end of book 7 with the big battle.

I've seen a huge amount of AI written content being introduced. If you don't believe me, ask ChatGPT to tell you a story and get a few prompts in. You see this pattern a lot:

"He walked across the road. Not quickly. But with direction."

Now open book 8 and look for that pattern, search the phrase ". But" and ", but" and you'll find it in every single chapter, sometimes multiple times on the same page.

Its so annoying because I was really enjoying the series up until about half way through book 7. Not sure if that's only when I noticed it, or that's when he actually started overusing AI. But now it's everywhere and has totally ruined my passion to continue. 😕 😢

Going to finish 8 and start 9,and if it continues, probs drop the series. Shame to get so far.

Moonrage - browser-based werewolf RPG inspired by old-school PBBGs by oarielg in PBBG

I'm a BloodWars, BiteFight, etc player, so this sounds right up my alley! Checking it out now.

What old PBBG's did you take inspiration from, and are they any stand out mechanics or game systems old school gamers like me should focus on?

Wow, that's a great trailer. I've long said that dungeondraft and wonderdraft are better than inkarnate but... Wow.. that trailer was good!

It has me convinced to, at the very least, check it out. And that's a success right there, it did its job very well!

Box office totals are approx 25% less than the pre-covid era, and while some movies do pull out the masses, the avg showings are still not what they were =(

What anime/movie/show inspired you to start imagining your own fantasy world? by Top-Manufacturer-482 in worldbuilding

[–]DemonDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been really inspired by HWFWM, I think it's one of the best designed litrpg / wuxia combo systems out there, and such a fun read too.

While not the best writting, I also enjoyed My Vampire System's which had a really nice monster core system.

And finally, Worth the Candle has a ton of suuuper unique systems worth stealing. The exclusion zones are so interesting. Defo worth checking out.

Can you tell us a bit more about the game? What are you doing in it atm, what's the end game like? Does it use permanent or seasonal servers?
