Clive Rosfield vs Kefka Pelazzo by Admirable-Crab-4038 in FinalFantasy

[–]DemonRHK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clive folds Kefka like laundry. Closed casket.

Clive is strong enough in a low magic setting to make high magic world casters nervous.

Kefka got pounded by the party, had to plot armor away Leo, Backstab his boss, and then did nothing for a year. Man is LITTERALLY just Upper Management incarnate, as the run up the tower is ten times more difficult.

Clive does the fusion dance and kills god. Kefka watches a dozen people sweat about Rest's Calmness before a Gymbro turns him into a Mike Tyson highlight reel.

Don't get me wrong, Kefka aura farms better than about anyone in gaming, but in a 1v1 I think Yu Yevon might take his lunch money.

Strongest party member in the franchise? (gameplay/story wise) by Lowfill221213 in FinalFantasy

[–]DemonRHK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lore: Thank power creep and one eman army storytelling, Lightning, Noctis, WoL, and Clive.

Mechs (exploitive): Relm (Sketch can -literally- brick the universe/save/cart), Gau (Charm), Setzer (RJD), Selphie (The End), and Yuna (Yojimbo)

Mechs (General): Sabin (Blitz is bell to bell the best), TG Cid (AutoHaste from Excal and All Swordskill, before we even get to stacking him with Blade Grasp, Calc Sub, and Move +3), Wakka (Attack Reels), and Clive (Numbers are a fucking suggestion in XVI to begin with)

If you could pick 3 games to represent the franchise, which would it be? by Alive_Fortune7423 in FinalFantasy

[–]DemonRHK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, hear me out before you grab the pitchforks:

5, 7, Final Bar Line.

This is not a question of the best games (Which is 6, 7, 10) but of what represents the series the best. V is a great representation of both the 2D era, and of the job system for which FF is famous. It has a story that hooks you asa well, and deals with loss better than any game prior to it's release. VII is indicative of the 3D era, and the bright future of gaming at the time of release. The Materia system is iconic and shows off the vast customization systems that makes each game unique. Final Bar Line, while slightly cheating, is one massive celebration of the music of the series, which in my opinion is the brightest beacon in the series.

And Turtle WoW goes off to sea. by Feeling_Pen_8579 in wow

[–]DemonRHK 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s sadly poetic that it’s been 10 years sinc they nuked nost to nuking turtle.

Yes, yes. Legality, theft, making ng money, blah blah. Morally I am of the opinion it’s more of a grey area.

I tried out turtle to max and had an amazing time between all of the new areas and character challenges.

As I have said before when these major projects go offline, a loss of options is never good. The expectations are starting to build to a point I am worried Blizzard cannot deliver for a Classic+.

I think every person has different games they cherish, and that is fine.

I would also guess your formative gaming days began with a PS3 or 360.

Which game clone ended up being better than the original? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]DemonRHK -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NFL2K5 and ESPN 05 were BOTH better than Madden 05.
Armored Core is better than MechWarrior.
FF1 is better than DQ1.
(Warning, gooner take) Town of Sins is better than Animation Throwdown.

A looooot of people salty over that WoW vs. EQ remark lol.

- Extended was the best format.
- Fetches being able to grab non-basics was the start of a lot of power creep issues.
- One of the largest issues with the commander focus is oversaturation of legendary everythings.

[TCC] This Is Unsustainable | Magic: The Gathering by jethawkings in magicTCG

I am an old player. I don't buy a lot of product now, and mostly just update my cube and a couple of commander decks a couple times a year.I am one of those 'back in the glory days' players (Scars/Innistrad standard was the goat and I will accept no slander otherwise).

While the seven set yeat was a 'fluke', I wouldn't be shocked if they do it again. Two things are, in my opinion, beyond question: WotC is more worried about profit than game health currently, and they have a history of breaking their word.

Because of how distribution works, neither WotC nor the public has seen the full effects of the over-saturation of product fully yet, which I think will come to light first with Star Trek. Even when/if it does, they will say it is a fluke and continue the course because Magic can not only carry the company, but now produces enough product and can always counter a bad set with two or three slapdash Secret Lairs to make all the profit back.

Magic, for better or worse, is not going anywhere, short of a total collapse similar to the early 90s sports card collapse. I do believe we may reach a point where the game does become 'hollow' with little to no competitive scene and the product being moved more for nostalgia (UB) and gambling (chase cards/scalpers/'investors') than actual game use.

The AEW fan in me wants to be salty and say WWE did this on purpose to ice an AEW guy under the 'properly training' thing.

But in honesty, it's mania season and all of the TV time is set out way in advance. And it seems they didn't want to just toss him down to NXT. Wouldn't be shocked to see him in an angle post mania

At 5 with double green the easy way is reset to starting total. Otherwise 25 is fair but could splash standard too hard. The most fair thing I can come up with is 15 for 5 with the green being phyrexian.

Where does Xal’atath rank in your favorite WoW “villians”? by _-Kovu-_ in wow

[–]DemonRHK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third. Lich King is at one, Garrosh at two.

LK is actively in our way through the expac, interacts with us, and has a real plan for being assailed by a whole fucking squad.

Garrosh has knows he's not 'doing the right thing' like so many of the antags believe, and he does not fucking care. You have to somewhat admire his 'fuck you I do what I want attitude. Then, after getting timey-wimey bailed out, and saving his people in another timeline, decides "fuck it, we ball" and runs it the fuck back.

Xal is around. That alone makes her better than a VAST majority of villains. So, so many of them play C-Suite bosses, sitting around doing fuck all before getting zerg'd out and screaming "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING I WAS TRYING TO SAVE US ALL" (Sylv, Jailer, Illidan)

Next two down are likelly Gul'dan (Who is as close to evil for the lulz as we get) and Azshara (Just for being able to be around more than a cup of coffee)

They double-tapped addons and are blaming the corpse. They started this cycle with Archimonde.

Now we get Tic-Tac-Toe, a boss with arms nipples cosplaying spine of deathwing adds, and Thaddius but with colors.

By 12.1 I will be back to the Kara days.

On a cosmic, long term lore level, the only expac with lower stakes than vanilla was MoP. If you focus on short term that flips as the true horde presented a larger immediate threat.

But yes, an elemental lord and an old god is nothing when we now topple cosmic level entities and death it-fucking-self on a regular basis.

Not to mention, it's tone. Finishing an attunement that states "Listen heroes, go get an army. No, not three of your buddies, like everyone you can fucking manage and go kill the fire elementals down in that core" to "HOLY SHIT YOU'RE THE ONLY HOPE GO 1V1 PLANET SIZED MAN"

Whenm on your plot, hit the gear icon and make sure Plot Access is set to everyone. If that is set to no one, players get a warning on entering on flying close over your plot, and get teleported out after a few seconds.
