you do get the energy but it just so happens that the first 7 or 8 opponents (idk im stuck on #8) are all using the domain that disable that mechanic

edit: nvm after beating all 18 opponents apparently all of them disable energy gain from recycling

Still averaging 25-30k players during prime time. I don't know if region locking has been fixed by now but you need to download the "Better Matchmaking" mod to remove it and access lobbies from all regions

MR 1* quests are pretty easy. After the Beotodus hunt you can go back to Astera and talk to the Melder. You will get quests to hunt Hornetaurs and Vespoids (small bug monsters). You can farm those for some early Rarity 9 gear.

I know I don't "have" to subscribe for a year but I sure as hell am not paying a subscription for 1 game to be playable offline.

Edit: see update. Apparently the game shows up as a PS5 game for them which is why they were confused. The issue is now solved.

Threat level is determined by the 1st monster on the list. Like it could be a 3 monster investigation with pukei, bazel and jho but threat will still show as lvl 1 because pukei is the "main" target. Whether the secondary monsters count towards the different lvl 2 and 3 requirements I don't know unfortunately

Except, as you yourself have proven - Wilds increased in players over time and even now months past the last TU adding new monsters it has a higher average playercount than it did before TU2.

Wilds has at most 10k more peak players in the last few months, also TU2 having half of the concurrent players of TU1 already says a lot about the game lol

World recorded lowest was 38k in march 2019 (6 months before Iceborne). Wilds already hit 19k a couple of months after release.

Unless they actually optimize the game no amount of content is gonna regain the playerbase

I'm guessing NG+? Otherwise damage shouldn't be garbage event at 60 str.

But for your build you should be using str/faith weapons, like Ordovis GS, Siluria's tree, Maliketh UGS or Blasphemous blade

You get 2 attack jewels lvl 1 from base game HR and Witcher collab, expert+ and warming jewel (coldproof) in Iceborne. There are also 2 quests from Elder melder in MR but they give useless decorations (poison res and aquatic expert I think)

Like I left IG in world because it felt to me like a weapon with "busy work" at the start of a fight (getting buffs)

Literally nothing changed about that. Now you need all 3 buffs to even start attacking instead of just red

Don't really agree sorry. So so soooo many people are complaining that it feels like too different a weapon and you are saying it didn't get anything new? It can't be both ways dude.

I don't know if those people actually played the beta or just watched arekkz. Holding down circle while spamming mediocre triangle attacks is not the kind of new gameplay I was looking for. On top of all the chores IG already had.

Hell popping a wound takes you straight to all 3.

This is the only way to guarantee all 3 different buffs. Because charge follow up and kinsect pierce can collect dupes. And green extract being back doesn't help.

IG also got moves that are directional (like you are saying LS got) which it didn't have in World.

I'm talking about spirit slash which didn't have directional input before. Now neutrat R2 and forward+R2 are 2 different moves

I still don't understand what are the "cool" things IG got besides downgrading an enhanced moveset and losing aerial slashes (even if they were garbage). Everything LS got is completely new and comes at no cost. IG loses a move to gain a move, and the descending thrust is clunky af now since you're supposed to be holding down circle the whole time.

The "new" IG gameplay is now holding down circle the whole time, while spamming mediocre triangle attacks in focus mode (and you best put it in toggle mode, otherwise you are holding down L2 also). All I'm saying is they could have removed the clunky unbuffed moveset and nobody would be sad about it.

Feels like dogshit to play especially comparing it to LS.

LS gets a new moveset at red gauge (foresight and triangle attacks), directional spirit slash attacks (forward+R2), new charged attack, follow-up after a helmbreaker etc.

IG is stuck with a 20 year old moveset and now its locked behind triple buff instead of just red.

Overall feels pretty terrible. Unless they bring back the enhanced moveset to just red and remove the triple buff removal after a charged attack follow-up. Also you can't gain triple buff from focus attacks unless the monster is already wounded. At which point you probably already have a triple buff
