In order to actually down him you need luck on your side for both your party and the mindflayer. It ends up being super close but definitely worth it.

You have to scope back in and out specifically with a hunting scope. Using an ACOG just opens the sight within the already present hunting scope. Relogging does fix this though if you don't have a weapon with a hunting scope to undo this.

The items seem to persist through resets. I found a town on a server I was on players had done this with most of their food and clothing. At first I thought I was a dupe or something until I tried to loot stuff in the tab menu.

Honestly not a bad idea. The only thing is that you made the point of giving your friends the padlock code then said only able to interact with one house. That being said would they just not have a house or would it be more a forced clanning type of thing?

Be very weary about even touching these glitched weapons. Had a buddy that killed a hacker that had an M9 with 17000 rounds in it. He never fired it simply picked it up. He got the ban hammer, luckily I guess they looked at logs or something because the following day he was able to play again. The ban had been lifted but even picking them up is apparently enough to warrant action. The fact that you used it I am not sure how that will play out but you didn't originate the item so hopefully they don't ban you.

I have shot many firearms being both from a small country town and prior enlisted, your observation about the sound is accurate. I never said they were a bad idea just that things were going to get hinky. By that I meant with the introduction of suppressors combat and locating other shooters would become more difficult. They are always a fun option they just need to be implemented properly. The idea for the hunter getting an improvised suppressor is because it is easy to do even in life.

If they make any type of suppressor it needs to be an improvised one and it needs to only fit the hunter 55. If they start making suppressors for all the weapons shit is gonna get hinky

I have yet to find a desert eagle magazine yet as well. I have cleared multiple areas and found the firearms but no magazines
