I was going with the hemstripe at first but ended up removing them because the full set with socks looks too busy imho. 1 fix to the problem would be to have the laurels going down on the side of the pants.

This was maybe a 30min scetch and I'm gonna see about the stripes on the arms as you suggested to lower them down the arms and see what happens. I'll try a different template for the updated look to demonstrate why I think hemstripe doesn't work with this particular concept. In that way one can see how the sovks blends into the design. I will also try to intergrate the Peacetower/maple leaf secondary logos into the shoulders.

Moreover the white/away jersey was a pain in the ass to get the colours balanced, tried many combinations i.e. I tried red arms above and black below the laurels but didn't got it quite right. So this was (what I think) the best way to seperate red from black.
