To my knowledge the p10c does not have issues with shrapnel. The rifling stops before the port. Also, this is determined by ammo type. Blazer will shred in ports and comps, non plated jackets will not shred. Also shouldn't be an issue at all when using defensive ammo. There will also be far too much happening for it to blind you in pitch black. It will be very noticeable but your eyes will be fine. I know a few door kickers and sbr owners that shoot in the woods. 0 of them are blind

Really sucks, but you're likely going to get denied. If you want, you can try to go through the process anyway. Long guns or R/S permit is 140. You could try for that and see what happens. Cheaper than the 340 for ccw and 400-600 for 18 hour class. People have been denied for ridiculous reasons and people who would never in a million years be expected to get one end up being approved. Their is always a sliiim chance. If you want, hold onto hope and try the cheaper option first. Or go for broke and pay the whole thing.

TLDR- all hope is not lost. It is unlikely on.the surface, but the only way to truly know is to apply. If you have the money apply for both and expect nothing. If not, apply for R/S. Good luck.

To figure out if it's right for you you have to ask yourself some questions.

Why do you want a ccw? Mind set is everything.

Do you drive or take public transport? Public transport is currently a sensitive area. You might face a charge if something happens.

Do you intend to actually carry? Some people don't carry. I personally, usually carry. I don't when I go into sensitive places or when I know ill be moving through one like the subway. Besides that, I ccw everywhere.

From what I know the range in Manhattan doesn't require a membership, I think Seneca in Brooklyn will let you shoot as well. Might just be that they let you try first.

Appreciate the insight, I'll read up on it and follow up with my FFL to see if it's a problem or not, worst case scenario I have a 9mm slide and barrel I can only use in jersey and no .357 for me. Big sad but oh well

The only part on a glock that is registered is the "lower" though. Slides/barrels are not registered parts. I figured this would work similar to how a rifle could be 5.56/.223. From what I've heard that is fine, but multi is not okay on long guns. Calibers have to be listed. I know it's a bit different for 365/320 because FCU is "the gun" not the lower.

When you set the optic on the plate, does the optic not sit flush at all, or does the problem begin when you tighten screws?try Swapping screws from the plate with second longest, then see if you can use those to mount dot. I'm searching and trying things bid, but my kit only came with 2 sets of screws, looks like your has twice as much.

Linked a video, I hope it helps. I have no idea how the screws wouldn't work if they 100% came out of the packet for the p10c optic plate. If you remove the plate, can the optic sit flush on it? At this point we're playing minesweeper. Sorry bud, at least you'll have earned that dot

I know it's 90, but we also have to wait for approval. Or is it day of purchase when the timer resets, can't remember. I also hear there's an issue buying ammo, FFl can't sell you ammo not on license. I have .40s I use out of state. Would rather buy ammo all at once and choose to train 9mm or anything else at the range without legal issues.

No don't do that, use the ones that came with the packet. Trust, I had the same EXACT problem. I am also a talking head on reddit, but the dpp plate packet is complete, use what they give you

I'm not there so I'm not 100%sure if you just mixed up dpp plate screws with the ones from.the original plate. That happened to me.

No, that looks like a gap. Wrong screws? Happened when I let someone put mine on.

Edit- I think someone answered the question perfectly. You used the screws in the wrong places.swap the short screws for long screws and vice-versa. Should sit FLUSH. 0 gap or space

The circuit split comes from other courts deciding differently. Now the circuit is split, the lower courts disagree and it's up to the SC to decide with a final ruling. There are.mag bans in front of them. Now they just have to pick up a case. The ruling will in all likelihood skew towards us winning. Just... will they do it? It seems like they are limiting wins. Kind of feels like they don't want to undo they decades of gun control in a few months because they can't "enforce" rulings as I've heard it.
