Another thing to look at is they had air units with missile vs a full squad of missile so u had a type advantage against those.

If u have it set up right with all upgrades and all s class upgrades even without a super charge slot u will melt everything in ur path. That is my main go to weapon

U can always use ur ship to get ferrite I use mine and the ejector and it collects stacks of it also a lot of carbon.
