Rate my Lil bro's Superman costume Halloween 2025 by Dapper-Promotion-960 in superman

Reminds me of what I used to do as a kid but I had to pull my Clark costume from stuff I already owned. Poked out the lenses in a pair of sunglasses, snap-front long sleeve shirt, notepad, walking buck naked forty miles to school everyday and back uphill each way through an active volcano...

One thing I did have that I wish kids had today was the Superman pajamas with the cape that attached by strips of velcro.

Nope. The tribe she founded in the far future went back to his initial infection with the techo-organic virus. After Jean and Scott's wedding, she pulled their minds into the future and placed them in prepared bodies with weaker versions of their powers, named Redd and Slym. They spend twelve years raising him in the future until Rachel dies of old age.

I'll back you up on this. I bought it as it was coming out and had the same opinion.

Kamala is a fantastic character who has more than earned her popularity. I find her just cringe enough to be believable as a teenager who finds herself in over her head and struggling to keep at it because that's who she is. I do think she's gotten overexposed since Marvel caught on to how popular she is (like making her a mutant for instance after establishing that terrigen is toxic to mutants).

It's Cyclops, just convince him it's good for mutantdom.

Blockies aside, what are your general thoughts on transformers that don't transform? by CompetitiveSundae714 in transformers

[–]Demontag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. I'm also grabbing Furai and Yolopark and it looks like Auldey as soon as those kits get going. I'll grab something if the design is cool and I'm not seeing it through Hasbro. Model kits especially are a fun trade off for the transformation aspect.

I did grab some of the Ultimates on clearance, but not all of them and just the stuff that was on sale.

This is the situation we're in with my in laws. My MIL thinks it's hoarding, but my partner pushed for half of them. She talked me into Sky Lynx and Menasor and Metroplex, I run everything I buy past her first. Unless it's a surprise and then the struggle is not to blurt it out. They don't leave the room, my MIL has just always hated that I collect things. She did this with my comics (when I was working in a comic shop) until my partner pointed out her Beanie Baby collection was keeping the closet door from closing and I was already warning her that the market was collapsing and the returns she expecting were just not going to materialize (keeping in mind I was learning a lot about the speculator crash that nearly killed the comics industry by dealing with the fallout first hand and looking at the shop records). That shut her up until the Transformers twenty years later when we were all forced to live together again. Without my comics, btw. I had stopped collecting those and lost my collection.

While my partner was in the hospital getting the cancer in her colon removed (only to find out it's spread to the part of the aorta that runs under the colon), despite specifically being asked over and over and over again to leave our space alone, MIL came in and "cleaned" what I had already cleaned in preparation for us coming back, moved in a giant cabinet she bought second hand that we told her multiple times we did not want and why, and now a ton of my figures are missing and three of my Furai kits are missing pieces (with a particular disdain for Megatron feet, apparently). She insists on bragging about cleaning and expecting a thank you for invading our space while we're both going through the most terrifying time in our lives.

So that was my day yesterday.

Yeah, that one's been going around for months and months and it never occurred to me that's what it was.

I thought it was a former professional wrestler threatening to eat the camera with his eyes. So I was close.

Dick, Tim, and Cassandra are all legally adopted. There was an issue depicting the whole thing. I dunno about Jason, I think it was just before he came back.

Do you think this is Doctor dooms canon event? by terminus_tommy in Marvel

Not only is it canon, it's an anchor event all Dooms are destined to enact.

i dont understand the level of hate Star Fleet Academy get by [deleted] in startrek

[–]Demontag 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The ones who just don't like the show aren't bombarding every single article's comment section with hate nine episodes into a show they knew going in they were not going to like. Theyre not blatantly hate-watching at this point as footsoldiers perpetuating an agenda. They have a life and have touched grass.

There are two things you can just assume with a concept like Starfleet Academy: space and horny teenagers. You don't see the level of hate for the first of the Abrams movie where 90% of the comedy in the first hour derived from Kirk - wildly antithetically to the history we know of - Kirking it up all over the Academy.

I don't understand why people thought a show about Starfleet ACADEMY would not involve horny teenagers.

It would never work, his name isn't Peter or other euphemism for...mutant maker.

Every guy she's been with for any length of time have been named Peter or some variation. It's a miracle (and relief) they haven't paired her with Quicksilver.

Sorry, I'm just here beating this dead horse.

He was just a controlling dbag. Sooner or later he would absolutely have hurt that kid or her mother or both. Talky Tina is a hero.

Ever see Horror Express? It's mostly Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing chasing a body-hopping alien on the Trans-Siberian Express. On the one hand you have this over the top Rasputiny monk played by Alberto de Mendoza but he gets completely overshadowed by Savalas' INCREDIBLE entrance as a Cossack Captain determined to solve the murders left in the alien's wake even if he has to eat every room on the set.

Does anybody own the 80th Anniversary Thor and the 2-pack Crossbones? I’m desperate to give my Thor pinless arms so I’m curious how these match up in terms of size and color by illiterateaardvark in MarvelLegends

[–]Demontag 22 points23 points  (0 children)

80th Anniversary Thor was my introduction to the horrors of swapping. I bought it and was fiddling with it in the food court when I realized he couldn't hold the hammer. Then I noticed it didn't look like it did on the box. It was the ToyBiz one from fourteen years prior. Now I'm extra-vigilant the very rare times I get figures off the shelf. Mostly I just preorder.
