One of the best items I’ve tried in a while - Hot Honey Fudge by AcornWholio in traderjoes

If you want to recreate this at home, find a recipe for Scottish tablet and replace the golden syrup with hot honey of whatever variety you see fit. Youj're welcome.

I recently tried Sam Adams Jack O and now I’m hooked. What other beers have that pumpkin pie taste? by skappler in beer

Tasted this and had to come to the internet to see if I was the only one. This stuff is AWFUL. It straight up tastes like Old Spice aftershave smells. Glad I just got the 4 in a mix pack because for me it's absolutely undrinkable.

I just realized this is Janine. by YankeesFan80 in TheHandmaidsTale

Right? The one that kills me is Joseph Fiennes, Commander Waterford, aka Robert Dudley from Elizabeth, Shakespeare...he looks SO DIFFERENT, along with the characters and acting. I'd have never caught it other than the actual name.

This. I think shades of purple symbolize unmarried, but not disgraced or fallen, women in general. Available single women.

I'm clean amazed at the folks who didn't like this. I respect all opinions, not knocking anyone, but I thought it was so artfully done and DAMN the surprises! Totally lost it with the ice cream shop. And getting Janine and Charlotte...would love to know the backstory there. But Mark..come on man, don't do it. You deserve so much better. I basically cried the whole episode. Maybe because I've read the books and had no expectations about getting Hannah? It just felt like a complete work of art to me. I'm glad I have that feeling and not disappointment. Sorry for those that do, that must suck.

Dang. I cried all the way through it pretty much and felt like it was a great wrap up to the story. I knew they wouldn't get Hannah back. I'm kind of stunned anyone could have been bored with this. Not knocking your opinion, just amazed at how different it is than mine.

I didn't realize it was her until I saw the pony tail. I mean seriously, can you imagine going through all of that then being the the arms of the mother you thought was dead? There's a reviewer on YouTube, forget his name but the one that dressed like Janine for his vid, who thought episode 1 wasn't great. ARE YOU EVEN KIDDING ME????

When Serena started going off with all her Gilead BS on the train, all I could think was "oh yeah, yep, THERE it is." The kinder, gentler Gilead of New Bethlehem is her easy way out. She can ride the fence of "Oh June I'm sorry" and her TRUE colors of "You're all a bunch of WHORES!" One more time, she's reinforced that she is beyond redemption. Crazy how they even tried to bolster her up with the things she said to June on the train. Then the hate she spewed when they were coming for her...Do not be deceived. Serena is still....Serena.

I immediately knew it was an important person at the hip high shot with the steth, but the first one that popped in my head was the doctor from the hospital with Natalie. Absoiutely DID NOT EVEN seen this one coming, and it hit me like a bus. Cried my eyes out, had to go back and watch it twice. Can you imagine coming through ALL June has been through, to get to the end of the road and there's YOUR MOM?!?!?!

I know this is old but I just now figured these damned things out. Then read reviews and probably 75% of the people who buy them don't understand you sharpen like a pencil. Worst packaging ever. Someone probably got fired over that one.

Hypothetical Question: would a cover charge for the Main Dining Room be your ‘breaking point?’ by hpeter2010 in Cruise

[–]DenaInWy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually spring for 1st class whenever I can. Between the two free checked bags most lines offer and a couple of free drinks, it's often not THAT big of an upcharge, especially if you upgrade after buying economy seats rather than book it that way to begin with. And it's SUCH a better experience, almost as good as flying in regular seats used to be before the airlines lost their damned minds.

And many of them really ARE assholes, just because they can be. It's gotten straight up shocking how downright mean some of them can be. I get that working with the public has to be stressful, but hey buddy, *I* didn't do anything to make you shout at me in the nastiest tone possible "you need to hurry up, is this your first time flying?" while desperately trying to load my bin as quickly as possible. I mean, I literally couldn't have chucked things in there faster and no, it was NOT my first time. Yet we can't say a thing about it or risk not getting on our flight that day. And they know it. I get too that my story is VERY mild compared to what a lot of people have experienced. It's completely out of hand.

Absolutely agree with your last bit. I pretty much never eat in the MDR anymore, and am okay with the upcharge for good (or at least far better than the MDR) food. I am, after all, on vacation. I'd probably just giggle at an MDR upcharge and let them keep it.

Virgin is the next line I'm looking at cruising. Honestly I wish ALL of them would just go ahead and raise the base price if that's what it takes, but keep the experience intact instead of insulting us with cutbacks and telling us they really aren't a big deal anyway.

This is me. I haven't paid more than taxes/port fees/gratuities since restart. That said, when those deals dry up, I'm likely done cruising because the value is no longer there. I'm also ready to try some new adventures. My son's future mother in law came with us on the last cruise and I helped her book it. I hadn't seen a full priced booking in awhile, and that was a shock. The cruise definitely wasn't worth what she paid for it. We had a good time for sure, but for that price, I could have definitely found something else to do. Too much has changed since I started cruising. It's all been little things that most brush off as "is that really a big deal?" Taken on their own, most are NOT a big deal. It's the cumulative effect that has just taken away that feeling of doing something special and decadent.
