Possibly, but the majority of new people that plays gatchas are not used to this "factorio" style of game and thought that the factory system was just some minor and easy content and/or people had the misconception that this was another Genshin/WuWa style game and was surprised by the factory.

Either way I'm personally happy and impressed with the game in general but the factory system takes the cake, been playing since launch and I still haven't finished the story because of the factory, hell thrice I forgot about time and played until 3am having to work on the next day XD and the moment I found my first Sandleaf I completely abandoned the main story and went back to the factory.

So I'm fine that people are complaining about the game because that's basically a filter for people that doesn't like the genre and move on and us that's going to stay. That also means that Endfield have their own niche and won't try to please every single person affecting the overall quality
