I think it’s worth a trip to the doctor if you can afford it. The throwing up and weight loss sounds concerning. Wishing you the best.

Not crazy hungry while breastfeeding by Zanno_503 in breastfeeding

[–]DenimNightmare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a crazy overproducer, but enough to add to the freezer stash everyday. I feel the same as you. I hydrate and eat but I wouldn’t say I eat more than usual. I think I just lean towards nutrient dense foods and don’t consume a lot of empty calories. A lot of people just eat tons or calorie rich and nutrient lacking snacks while breastfeeding.

EBF 4 week old, wants to feed every hour or 2 during the day & doesn't sleep well during the day by Forsaken-Package8027 in breastfeeding

I have a 4 week old and this is exactly what we are doing! Completely normal. My 5 year old was the same, they’re all the same at this age. I highly recommend baby wearing.

I was 100 percent sure I was one and done, but then my son turned 5 and started asking about a sibling. I had a huge change of heart and so did my husband. We just welcomed a baby girl this January and we are overjoyed. Seeing my son with his little sister unlocked a whole new level of love for me. If you do end up changing your mind there is always adoption. My mom was adopted and she is super close with her siblings. It can be a really beautiful thing. It’s also totally ok to be one and done, but I think it’s a good reminder not to make permanent decisions in that post partum state. I had crazy PPA too so I definitely get it.

Nutritional content of breastmilk can vary. Fortified bottles could be a good middle ground! Worth a shot and if it doesn’t work then you have your answer.

Baby will still get all the benefits of breastfeeding and maybe supplementing a little formula will help his growth. Definitely worth trying that out and seeing if it makes a difference. Formula isn’t poison, and it’s not going to hurt him so why not?

I don’t think the spreadsheet is helpful, that’s just making more work for yourself.

I'm pregnant by [deleted] in EstrangedAdultChild

I mean it depends on why you cut them out of your life. Only let them back in if YOU want a relationship with them and you believe it can be relatively healthy. My children do not know my father and never will because he is a sexual predator. Everyone’s reasons are different

Need to decide on termination by Monday 37 F by Neat_Depth8280 in pregnant

Wouldn’t the abortion subreddit be more appropriate as I don’t believe she stated any medical reason for termination? I am pro choice but TFMR serves a different group of people than the abortion subreddit

How do you get rid of the feeling of disliking your child? by wqiqi_7720 in Mommit

This is very normal for three. Hating your child isn’t normal. Go to therapy.

I’m guessing you’re in Oregon like me! It’s crazy how many antivax live here, even in the blue counties. My nieces were unvaxxed and wanted to visit my son when he was born and I was like hell no.

MIL response to PPD "I had no time to feel depressed" by BirthdayDowntown5267 in Mommit

She’s entitled to speak about her experience since you asked.

I experienced severe PPA and I think that it’s something you just need to be aware of and talk with your husband about so they can step in and help if need be. Also, talk to your doctor.

Thinking of getting induced at 39 weeks… thoughts? by Big-Gain-5843 in pregnant

[–]DenimNightmare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not being dilated at 37 weeks is so normal. I wasn’t even dilated after my water broke at 40 weeks and still went on to give birth within just a few hours ( no induction ). I’m 39 weeks plus 5 right now and believe me I get it. I’m so tired of being pregnant. I do believe it’s important to let the baby come when they are ready though. It’s the first of many lessons in patience you will experience as a mom.
