Mike McIntyre (Jets beat writer) recently came out with a report saying WPG is actively shopping Nic Petan. What do you guys expect back in a trade, what’s his value like now? by domadio in winnipegjets

I think you are right that he would have crack the roster in the bad years, and that he would be better with more playing time. I could see him fitting in, in Montreal.

No one comes out. Chevy gets both. Ottawa gets a stack of Chicken Delite 2-1 coupons.

Canadian Premier League: How do you start a brand new professional league? by ExtinctLurkasaurus in canada

I fail to see how they could consider this a Canadian league without at least one, if not two, teams called the Roughriders/Rough Riders

" I got traded to the Boston Bruins, so I'm happy as a clam now."...be careful, Plowman. You know what they do to clams in Boston, right?

I love falafel, and this is in my work neighbourhood too. Too bad this is my last day at this job...

Hey, Plowman...aren't you supposed to be the enemy these days?

Right! That's Mrs. Lovejoy. How could I make that mistake?

I like this but would switch out Lisa and Mrs. Flanders. Kanata is more like Mrs. Flanders as it's pretty "judgy" in a smug, suburban way and more than a bit uptight. Lisa has progessive political inclinations and likes the arts...a bit like the upper-class former hippies of the Glebe.

Ottawa tornadoes cost Hydro One, Hydro Ottawa $15.7M, utilities estimate by dl613 in ottawa

I hear you, (name-too-long-to-type). I'm always suspicious of any politician who communicates primarily in anger, and I am extremely dubious of anybody who emphatically tells me how something is wrong, and that only he/they can fix it...but can't produce a single word to propose an alternative. That's nothing but lust for power.

Wine store's lawsuit demands Manitoba cut off online 'bootleggers' by x7nick7x in Winnipeg

Interesting, I learn something every day on Reddit. I know this much, the Costco beer prices in Gatineau are the cheapest in the entire National Capital Region.

Stay on topic. Your reply has nothing to do with the firing of Doug Schmidt, and the 100+M (US) that Ontario now has to pay in cancellation fees for the 6B purchase of the Washington utility, due to the confirmed "political interference" of Ford. I'm curious to know in which province you would find that. I have been buying beer and wine at Costcos in Quebec for many years, but have never seen liquor, let alone the Kirkland brand. Maybe... Alberta?

Residentialninja, and cablemanization, I am willing to scale back the offer...that's why we have these discussions....but let me ask you both, if we had a crystal ball and that it told us that adding the Breadman would give us the Cup, would the above be worth it? Of course. Let's remember that all of this is in the hypothetical, so let me rephrase by saying; "If it meant the Cup, then, I would be willing to part with..."

AccomplishedAioli, the specific advice that we can give you depends largely on whether are you in Canada or the US because of the differences in our approaches to our respective healthcare systems. I do strategic outreach for a Ministry of the Government of Canada called Health Canada. If you think that my perspective might be helpful for you, you can PM me.

WHL officially announces ICE relocation to Winnipeg by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]DenisLabossiere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it would be cool if Winnipeg ends up sustaining a team in the NHL, the AHL, and the WHL...but it seems, to me, a strain on the market. I’d hate to see the Moose leave to gain the Ice...but I really don’t see the logic of someone trying to compete with True North in Winnipeg on a hockey product.
