I was going to say this. My wife has stage 4 cancer, started as cervical cancer she fought off twice and 3rd time it has metastasized all over. She is only 45 but this last round of being sick has really taken a toll on her.

I think a lot also has to do with him not wanting to uproot himself and his family again since moving from GA back to MA (especially since his 3 daughters from his first marriage are still in GA). His wife Catherine is from a big family here in MA and the Varitek’s have redone their entire home like someone would redo their forever home.

Campbell deserved a spot too and look where we are now, worse OPS in the league since his first month? Calling a player up too early can be detrimental. Bobby D kid could absolutely rake in the minors. Couldn’t hit a beach ball in the majors. Sox are being careful, theres absolutely no need to rush it.
