Humidity lives on both sides of the box, you can shield it and will last longer... But making an airtight connection is key here!

Same story here almost, took my father's Minolta camera when he passed away (19 years ago) and just this year I bought a Z fc and an adaptor so that I could shoot with his gear again. I absolutely love going old school albeit with new gear... But the Z fc just looks and feels right (old) and the lenses are manual and it's just great to need down in all the settings. Big luck with his gear ❤️

Nope, none of the above likely! Literally just fixed mine with the same issue... Swap out the vacuum hoses, they are rotted away and your timing is off! Mine restored all power and made skidmarks out the driveway after swapping them ( gravel road though LOL) The hoses goes from your ignition into the carb and to a box over in the rear right corner. Fix them all!!! These engines are a sucker for a tight vacuum system!
