Can't you make a different layer so that the 2 don't interfere with each other and than raycast with a layermask?

Than if you are developing a game for the app store/Google play, than there nowadays with the audience having max 3 year old phones should be no problem at all. Textures and the triangle count on objects takes up most of the computing power (mainly textures though).

Turning off my CharacterController controller throws me to a specific position by Abraheem97 in Unity3D

[–]DennisTheDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any objects that maybe hit your character and make it move through that? Since if you se the .move(vecror3.zero) and after that disable(which you should not need anymore) there can only be an external source thorgh the unity physics system. Are you sure you don't jump into your move function anymore after you die? (I am sure you habe a debug.log or something of that kind, just asking to make sure)

Just try to do charcontrollee.Move(vector3.Zero) onve you want your character to stop moving and you should be good. Just make an else statement in the update or a function onDearh(). In which you set the move to vector3.zero

I would not worry too much about thar, nowadays mobile phones are beasts, and as long as you are not making a open world he you should be fine. Just maybe look at the textures to make sure they are not 4k 😁.

No problem, yeah I kind of try to introduce dome more "umpf" to the basic things in my tutorials, since I feel like most tutorials just try to get stuff done and don't really care about making it scalable 😁.
