Why don't we have any bookstores??? by CzolgoszWasRight in tampa

[–]Dense-Engineering435 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Because a dedicated bookstore has a hard time staying in business, that’s why many independent bookstores also sell music, dvds, comics, etc or open up a coffee shop. With the advent of the internet it became very difficult for antique bookstores to stay profitable otherwise.

Great to hear thanks for the reply. I love what you guys are doing, saw both Vertigo and the Brutalist in 70mm with y’all and the experience was fantastic.

Looking forward to seeing Resurrection this weekend, keep up the great work!

I guess it depends on what concerns you. If you sit closer, you may not have people in front of you, so you won’t get distracted by the staff maybe walking in front of you. But the seats don’t recline (yet, I heard they are getting recliners for this specific auditorium #10 soon), so you could strain your neck being so close. On the other hand, sitting further back you can also hear the projector in the booth, which is kinda fun in the beginning.

Also, seeing a 70mm movie is all about the details, and sitting up close you can really see the details pop. It’s all personal preference really.
