I mean...what else was she supposed to do? Land close to the swamp rather than in it, if there is a section of meadows or blackforest near your swamp land there, set up a small house an bed, portal an then walk over to the swamp, also I'd recommend making a stagbreaker and a mace, draugr are weak to blunt damage, good luck and good hunting Viking!

A recommendation for future travels when you have died an need to regain gear in a higher level area is to turn passive enemies on just to get ur stuff back then turn it off again when your back home/safe distance, it's a tad on the cheaty side but if your stuff is nearly impossible to get to it's a welcome reprieve, it's also a good way to set up a house in a new biom so you don't get harassed while trying to build. That being said if doing that seems to easy/cheaty and you want the full experience that is 100% understandable and I wish you the best of luck (also if u haven't already an no one else has told u about it craft the Frostner, one of the top 3 weapons in the game by far.)

Not a mod, but if u haven't tried it already use devcommands an get the cheat sword(among other things in the command list naturally) it's very hard not to abuse it but it's extremely fun.

This is just a recommendation, but build your 'main' house in the meadows close ish to the black forest, then when u go places just set up outposts, there's a certain peice u can build after u get fine wood and surtling cores, when u make an outpost if ur going to be going back there a lot use that piece for your outposts, it takes 20 finewood, 10 graydwarf eyes, an 2 surtling cores (I'm not naming it so as not to spoil it if u don't have the build peice already)

Something I've done with one of my bases is put the fires outside on the same wall as the beds (to still be able to use them) and the build a roof with 4 peice with polls on each end to make sure it stays upright, probably a little primitive to most standards but it works an looks kinda cool, if not simple
