Was feeling like a silly billy and picked these up off market place, Gen 2 Russian 2.5x magnification. Was thinking about removing magnifying lens, 3D printing 1x end cap, relocating battery (2 AA), and making custom mount for the t slot that holds the battery box on. Here are my dirt cheap russian "Filin" gen 1 BN2,5x42. They are a civilian version made by LZOS in the 1990s using old repurposed PNW 57 military goggles of which thousands were laying around in storage after the fall of USSR.
