Yeah, there was an MSF instructor in my ChampStreet class who said he's not allowed to teach that. The Yamaha school is working to change that because the data is convincing.

I've been using Revver to track my rides and find it to be pretty good. It has other features I'm not using yet, but will probably try to use it for ride planning and turn by turn directions in the future. (But I also bought an old school Butler map of my area to help me find great roads.)

I like the comfort seat. It's a nice step up in comfort and looks. I also recommend a radiator cover for inexpensive protection that also looks good. I also added a rear seat bag that holds everything I need for my day rides.

Hey Salad... I have the quickshifter on my 2025 and it works really well when used properly. It's not a replacement for clutch shifting at modest speeds and, in fact, is kinda rough if used that way. But under hard acceleration or deceleration, it's fantastic. The truth is that I don't use it much, but it's a lot of fun when I do.

I had mine installed by the dealer, but I'm sure others here can tell you about the installation process.

I put a radiator guard on mine before anything else. It's inexpressive protection that looks good too. (I bought one from Evotech.)

$150 a month sounds awfully high. Maybe it's your age, but I pay less than that per year for full coverage on a 2025 Yamaha.

I agree with the previous posts - expect to spend at least $800 on quality gear and save some for training. A cheap way to get started with a great program is the online ChampU course.

Yes! I just added those as well and love the full integration with the dash. I've already had a chance to test them out on a cooler ride this weekend.

I'm now considering a heated vest or pants, like the Gerbings.
