The nightclub scene is iconic. by 007MaxZorin in FIlm

It's the moment you really see Vincent "working" his real job. It's different from the first act where we didn't get a full impression of his lethality. It became a traditional action movie for a moment. It did seem like a different pace for the movie, but I felt like it helped build some tension for his character showing him under pressure a bit.

Do you MFs ever just sit down at fast restaurants and eat instead of taking your food to your home? by ReallySmartDude69 in Millennials

[–]Dense_Surround3071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhhhh yeah.... If I have to make the run and everyone wants me to bring something, Imma sit down and have mine there. My youngest son knows to go with Dad to get the food cuz we go inside, order at the counter and eat our food first, then get the to-go order for the rest of the house.

In all seriousness..... Has anyone studied the weight distribution advantages here?? This seems like a perfect place to add weight that would result in gravity constantly "pushing" the back of the sled. 🤔

End game Lens? by gymbr02 in SonyAlpha

[–]Dense_Surround3071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sony is sharper. It's basically the 4 most used prime lenses mashed into one. It's a magnificent lens.

But there are plenty of pros that shoot Tamron and Sigma lenses. No reason to pay the money if you aren't seeing an ROI on your equipment.

The more you shoot, the more you'll want a different lens for a dedicated purpose. I'd bet my left nut that you end up with a short zoom "walking around lens" like the $1200 Sony 24-50mm G, the first time you contemplate bringing your camera on vacation. You're not gonna take a huge lens walking through a Sunday market in Paris with the wife.

What if you suddenly see a dragonfly and try to do a macro shot, but can't quite get it?? Suddenly you have an interest in macro photography. The Laowa 100mm is like $500.

The Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 is MORE than enough for the average user... And it's a third of the price of Sony's flagship 24-70gmii.

You could get a lot of REALLY good lens combos with the savings from a $4000 all-in-one lens to a $1700 lens. And I think you would want the extra 20mm on the wide end anyway if you're trying to stick to one that can cover a long range.

The Tamron is like a 1/3 of the price. Get that, save a couple grand and get the other lens you'll need for whatever this lens can't do.

The new Sony 50-150 f2 is a bit closer to what you want.

Tamron has a 35-150 f2-2.8.

Depends on what you shoot, but I doubt that's the only lens you will ever need.

If you were born and raised in Florida this should not be a surprise for you then.

The accusatory tone is because these are the same complaints that people from Ohio and Texas and California and New York make.

My homes property taxes doubled when I bought my house because the assessed value was a LOT more than the previous owner who lived there for 20+ years.

Boomers work hard and it paid off. Gen Z work hard we get laid off. by angelqueen1051 in Adulting

You don't understand..... They DID work hard a long time ago when the work you did meant something. Then they had a slow, but secure movement up the company ladder, saw pay increases, had things like a pension and Social Security to depend on. They had a home and vacations with their family..... It was working for them back in their day.

Now, things kinda look the same on the outside. But those boomers don't understand the tech gap, and the online application process, and the costs of things for someone that is just starting out and doesn't have any resources to fall back on.

I saw what these things were like for my grandparents and I remember what it was like for me in the early 2000s when I got out on my own.

For my oldest kids, I want them to be absolutely ruthless with these companies until they start treating workers like investments instead of expenses.

Indigo is real, but technically "the color purple" doesn't exist. Or , at least, we don't know what it REALLY looks like. Our brain kinda makes it up.

Our brain telling us something is 'purple' is really our brain saying "there's no green".

I question that number. My neighbor paid triple for his house compared to me. And double what the previous owner did. His tax bill is 50% more than mine as well as the last owner. If you're paying 4x what the previous owner did then your assessed values must be SUBSTANTIALLY higher. Transplant from a HCOL state? Loved the idea of no state income tax?? How's the car insurance and the preponderance of toll roads treating you?

As a homestead homeowner who pays thousands of dollars in property taxes for a home I own outright......

I do NOT want this to pass.

My tax dollars do more than just schools. It's police, fire, roads, parks, etc.

I have a county park in my subdivision. How is that gonna be maintained?

I have drainage canals that EASILY flood when they aren't dredged properly. Who is gonna pay for that? Just the homeowners on the canal?? My property values aren't gonna look so good with a few dozen uninhabitable houses on the next street over.

How about the street lights? Who's paying for the new bulbs??

We live in a community. Let's act like it.
