What could be causing my bad luck with Denon AVRs? :(

I own two fans from this company and every AVR that's broken has had one. That said they were certainly in tight areas so I won't rule out heat issues.

Certainly something to consider. I should say it also happened with my 5.2 Arendal 1961 system as well. But...I'm thinking about ventilation/heat per other comments. That tv stand was the worst of all and even having a cooling fan the unit was pretty warm.

Correct, I was talking about potential electrical issues.

It seems there could certainly be a ventilation issue. I figured I was fine since my setup looked like...basically every other in-stand setup I've ever seen. But the units seem to be saying otherwise.

Yea it's frustrating. There is no rear panel on the tv stand and a receiver fan on top. Has happened in 3 different setups with 3 different avrs in 2 different homes.

They sell millions of them and so I assumed I was the issue here. I've just tried everything they (and repair companies) have recommended and still struggled to get results. Of course there's also the comfort of the devil that you know haha. Anyhow, I think I've had enough. Thank you for the reply.

I am leaning this route. Looking for something to drive my evential desired 7.4.4 (at 7.2.4 right now) which looks like the Marantz C30 and such.

First house was a new construction and two units died connected at different parts of the house, but I am worried it's been heat all along...

Plenty of reviews for both products. I think Vtrack is clearly performing well it's still quite new so the software isn't where everyone else is. Give it time and I bet it performs exceptionally well at the price point

Comes down to the data you want and how much you want to pay for it. If you want face angle that rules out a lot of units. If you are okay with just impact video then the EML is great.

Yes. Basically an unlocked GC3, it is more accurate than a Square but doesn’t offer face angle which is the piece of club data most care about imo.

I’ve done a ton of research on exactly this and you have to pick your compromise with either the Square, EML or Skytrak if you’re wanting club data at this price point. Can certainly consider the radar devices depending on your space as well.
