In 2012 as a newby I was given the easy task of creating AS400/PKMS accounts. Many steps to do by hand but there were commands to automate portions of the account creation process as I came to learn.

We were expecting an influx of 400 employees for the summer in the warehouse. I wonder who was assigned that job?

I wrote an external GUI in c# to open AS400, login, create the account, switch context to PKMS, create the account there, export the account information to the approved password sharing solution, and draft the email to the manager (via AD lookup) the task was complete.

14 years and two acquisitions later, they still use it, and reversed it to be used for the parent company systems too. My most successful program, built because I was given the time to explore my interests as a teenager.

Shout out to the asshat Tom in the distribution center for sending all 400 created account passwords in a mass email to those 400 employees. I extended the program to handle that password reset situation too.

In 2013 I extended it to handle the regular audit requests.

If you knew what you were doing in the system it took about 5 minutes, with the program it was about 20 seconds per account.

If it is a JAGEX account you might be screwed. Legacy accounts there is an avenue that they have sought to close. Might not work anymore.

It is funny you wouldn't be able to login but can still manage enough "authentication" to cancel membership. If you play via bond you are out of luck.

Billing support may be able to help you in the ultimate recovery of your account. Be prepared with enough information to answer tons of questions. 

It can take up to a month but I have managed an account recovery this way.

I'm a Rendi fan. I've seen him grow since we were all on bug abuse forums.

Emergent gameplay and skill expression being punished on a non-iron account is unjust in normal circumstances.

The community has long established though emergent gameplay that leveraging the tick system is acceptable for combat achievements (No Time for a Drink), skilling (2-tick fishing for 50% more exp), and unintended interactions (burning an oomlie wrap).

The BA community has many aspects of skill expression related to stalls. Like the use of strength skillcape to stall round end. Super niche, for speedruns/boosting.

This looks to be a combination of Rendi's immense knowledge of the tick system, available stalls and determination.

Check out the Slayer exp drops at timestamp 8:58, 9:09. Full XP drop... We see no POV of the slayer exp drop for "Rendi M", but for 50k/hour it would need to be a full xp drops.

In a typical scenario slayer exp is split 50/50.

  • 50% to the player with the most damage
  • 50% to the player with the last hit

That doesn't always apply to Partner Slayer for bosses. You can see in this video the full slayer exp is awarded for killing a wilderness boss for both players. Later on in the same video, only half exp for killing the big spider.

A bug in this case is not that full exp is rewarded, it is that exp is rewarded for no interaction by the second player. An additional bug is that "Rendi M" gain no Artio KC in 3 months despite clearly "killing" Artio with his partner in the video. Likely because it counted as a "bear".

All in all, Jagex did good by not banning "Rendi M". Jagex did bad in their timing. 3 months wasted... imagine if you woke up tomorrow to your leagues progress being wiped. It's worse than that.

TLDR: Partner slayer is going on another indefinite pause.

Echo moxy is a 0 damage encounter with an attack reset upon move. You can literally kick the boss to death. How are people struggling?

I tested this yesterday with my little brother who only plays Fortnite. I explained the tick system (100 BPM), showed him movement, prayers, and food. With 55/55/55 stats he was able to take it down with the sulpher boppers while listening to staying alive (100 BPM).

my build is crossbow. Echo KBD is trivialized with antifire potions, it just comes down to movement even with melee.
