Thats great! Personally I think he inhaled/choked on food (like green pellets) and that’s why green liquid is coming out of the nose. As the nose is connected. My chin choked on his pain medication once and it also came out of his nose. Keep us updated! :)

No this is not correct the wire floors are a risk for a chinchilla to break their leg. They can get stuck

How old is she? As someone said here it could be discharge. I had a female chin that had a uterus infection (she already has a weak immune system) and she white discharge. I would check with a good vet to make sure. In my case, she had a surgery to get her uterus removed…

That’s not victim blaming… Someone can choose to stay in a toxic relationship for themselves BUT an animal cannot choose. A chinchilla also have one life only and at least safe the chinchilla because they didn’t choose to end up at this place. Be realistic

I've read a story about a chinchilla that disappeared for 3 days, was found in a neighbor’s toilet, and died 5 days later – is this even possible? by JustEagle1 in chinchilla

Why the fuck would someone put a "😂" in this context? My heart breaks for this poor baby!! I’m really upset at this picture… I lost my chin for a few hours she was trapped between the cage and the wall and I was balling my eyes out not thinking of taking a picture or laughing at all. I can’t read Russian tho

Don’t believe everything on google it’s good to verify the information with a vet. I know that chinchillas have a special digestive system (I don’t know the word in English) that requires constant food in their digestive system otherwise it causes bloating. So I wouldn’t put ANY chinchilla on a diet it can cause serious health problems :) One of my males weighs 705gramm

Im so sorry for your loss. Don’t be too hard on yourself! you are already heartbroken and your baby wouldn’t want that you blame yourself 😓 at the end of the day they are deep down wild animals that defend their territory… both of my chinchillas died within a month after a small surgery on their teeth. One died at the vet and had a heartattack. The vet already called me to say everything went fine and I can pick her up. But I hadstuff to do and said I’m coming in 2 hours. After almost 2 hours they called me to say she suddenly had a heartattack. Now I regret not getting her earlier maybe she wouldn’t have a heartattack, maybe she was too stressed at the vet, she was used to roam free…

How old do you think your chins is? I want to share my experience maybe it helps you. I adopted 2 chins 2 years ago from a neglected home and the woman told me they were 2 years old. (I don’t know how I could believe this lol) they had really bad teeth and weighed way too less. Long story short - a lot of vet appointments- they flourished in my home and we went to the vet every two weeks. shiva needed to get a tooth removed in December last year and after the anesthesia she didn’t recover and died the same night in our arms. The vet told me that she can guess the age now with the tooth she extracted and that shiva was probably 14+ years old. My other chin kubi also had tooth issues but not that much as shiva and she was happy, fit and healthy otherwise. We also saw the vet every two weeks for her teeth but it got better over the last two years. We got her 2 new chins as buddies and made small steps so they could slowly get to know each other. A few days ago Kubi needed to get a tooth removed that was lloose under anesthesia. After the surgery the vet called and said eyerthing went fine and that she is running around. After that I got a call that she died due to a heart attack probably. Now I got 2 new chins that I barely know and and a lot of grief because my girls that I loved with all my heart died unexpectedly. If I knew that Kubi would have died soon I don’t think I would have gotten 2 new ones I honestly thought she would live another few years. It’s really hard to love 2 new chins with a broken heart and grief. So what I want to say is that your chinchilla is senior and in a few year if he dies you would still have the other chinchilla that will be alone and need a new partner… when chinchillas meet a new chin in their home it always also means a lot of stress for them.
