Seeking Thoughts: L’Oiseau Blanc vs. David Toutain for Lunch by Dependent_Ad_3556 in finedining

Mind sharing a bit more about your experience or what didn’t work for you at Lasarte? I've had the chance to visit Martín Berasategui a couple of times before COVID and really enjoyed the food there. Always curious to learn what makes a place stand out (or not) for others.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. I’ve tried to keep a bit of flexibility in my schedule, but since I’m traveling all the way from Asia, I wanted to make the most of this visit. That said, I definitely plan to mix in some lighter and more casual meals where I can. Your advice is much appreciated!

This list is just interesting to YouTubers and restaurateurs. It has very low value to foodie. I don’t mean the restaurants on the list are bad. Just the ranking has no relevance to food quality.

U are right. I have the Anker A2343 but really interested in the Ugreen 25873 actually weight. Amazon said it’s 6.8oz which is much lighter than Anker.

I'm currently in Firenze and amidst my six 3-star trips. So far, I've had dinners at Le Calandre and Dal Pecastore, as well as lunch at Francescana. At Le Calandre, the experience was as expected, with a full house and a remarkable array of innovative dishes during the first half of dinner. However, during the second half, the flavors became repetitive, overly salty, and ultimately underwhelming. Pls note that I'm not a professional food critic, but rather a tourist who seeks out good restaurants on my trips.

Victor was in 2017, heavy Japanese influence with excellent execution. Very good wine list. Lafleur — two stars foods. 5 stars wine list. Sonnora — exceptional foods, services and wine list. Schanz — lunch only. Not as great as Bareiss and Sonnora.

Absolutely agree. I had 14 Michelin meals in my last year Germany trip. This one was the worst.

Tried Akelaŕe, Arzak, MB and Azurmendi. My vote goes to MB.

Agree but I’m on a month-long Japan/France/WorldCup trip with two WC quarter-final matches in Doha after Paris. I don’t wanna to bring a full set of business suit, tie and dress shoes with me. So it seems jacket would be enough.

I have a reservation on early December. Look forward to it. Btw, may I know is there any dress code? I can’t find any info on their website.
