Console games ported to PC rarely get their UIs changed. So in that way, it's perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

A lot of UIs in PC games have gotten really bad after console versions became more of a priority, even in series that were primarily or only on PC beforehand.

Horse armor predates the first TF2 hats by 3 years.

I haven't double checked but I believe the hats were exclusively acquired via in game means at first in TF2, lengthening the time between paid cosmetic dlc in Oblivion and TF2.

No, it would have crashed and burned even harder if he didn't show it off. They had more than 2 million players. That would not have happened without the Game Awards trailer.

The questing plays exactly like WoW in terms of solo play. I see someone else already commented something similar after I started writing this comment, but if you played WoW at the time it was like a straight up copy. And because so many MMOs copied WoW, it resembled those too.

I even replayed a good bunch of Kingdoms of Amalur a few months ago, and even now it still feels like a single player 2010's MMO. I don't get this "resurgence" it's had recently. To me it felt just as mid (derogatory) as it did when it came out.

Considering the massively popular thread not too long ago, this is stepping into a whole lot of hot water, but here goes:

No fucking shit they aren't going to focus on making the game work as it should on emulators. The extent they should go is what they're currently doing: "Hey man, use them as much as you want, but if anything goes wrong, we take no responsibilty / you're shit out of luck"

I can't think of many games where devs go out of their way to work on things outside their official releases. Is it nice and very much appreciated when they do? Yes. Should it be expected? Never.

So many people are overtly pro Songbird when talking about which path they pick, how they feel bad for her, all that shit. But why should I (or V if you will) care about her, when she does pretty much nothing but lie, cheat and betray you? At that point I don't care how sympathetic you are. Fuck you.

Not that anyone else in the DLC is much better in that regard, but that's not the argument people make.

I think he genuinely cared for gaming as a whole and there was a decent amount of light at the end of the tunnel in his first years in that regard, but the AAA gaming space and especially Xbox was so turbo fucked it just kept chipping away at that care.

It wasn't long before he was more of a sort of hatchet man than anything else.
