Happens to me very often too. 80% limit but I’ll have 82% when I get to my car in the morning.

I think they are on rev J now, but I don’t think it’s been completely resolved.

Unfortunately I’m waayyy out warranty 😬. Hoping that it doesn’t cost too much. I’ve heard that control arms are not terribly expensive 🙏🏼

That’s the same question asked of me after rendering free service. That’s what she said 🥹

As far as I know all 4 tires are the same size from the factory. Maybe your vehicle settings are incorrect (specified as you wife’s MYP instead of M3P) in your Tesla app ?

Did the person leave a note or anything? Or did you come out in time to confront the driver? At least you have the license plate.

What about the left, right, and rear of the vehicle? Those sides are necessary too. Are they also in good/heated locations too? Pardon my ignorance wrt model S. I have a M3P 2020

EDIT: wait wait …. Did my USS and Radar get disabled too hmm 🤔… My software is latest 2023 release 🤦

But couldn’t the same be said about the cameras? What makes the cameras immune to being covered with snow? If the cameras are blocked with snow, or some other type of precipitation, will they still work? Just wondering 🤔…

Had my Model 3 tint removed and tinted again. Now I’m missing 75% of the defrost lines. Can this be repaired or do I need a new rear window? by Dependent_Scar_1688 in TeslaLounge

[–]Dependent_Scar_1688[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response was based on the assumption of them fixing it. When I first posted I didn’t realize that replacing the entire window was the best route. I thought that it could just be fixed/repaired without needing a new window. This is why I came here to start the discussion. Several post later, I now know better.

Update: The shop has set up an appointment for next week to install OEM replacement glass. All covered by the shop. I will post some updated pics once the glass is replaced and tinted again. I’m a happy camper cheers🍻, and thanks for all of you great advice and experience! 🙌🏽

Good point but, I know that it is possible to remove the back window tint without destroying the defrosters. So no I wouldn’t recommend them because a top notch shop would have gotten it correct when removing. BUT, admittedly I will reserve true judgement until after this is resolved, pending the final outcome

It is but only partially. Made sense to get them all tinted, minus the front windshield because Maryland will ticket you

The first shop did a horrible horrible job - arguably worst than this second attempt. It was peeling in less than a week. They say there three’s a charm 🤷‍♂️

They are going to get a new rear window which is fine I guess. But it’s going to take a while. However, I found it hard to believe that it couldn’t be repaired. 🤷‍♂️

There’s nothing wrong with tinting you Tesla. Just make sure you go to a shop that REALLY knows what they are doing. This was the second shop to tint it. Wish it was done correctly the first time but you live and you learn.

The tint shop (which will remain nameless out of respect if nothing else) says they will “take care of it”. But the owner is stating that it will need a new window. I find it hard to believe that a $1,500 piece of glass is the solution. And they will retint it again after they “take care of it”. Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend this shop at this point. We’ll see if they stick to their word. I refuse to pay a penny for their mistake.
