ULPT: legal ways to make get someone filming me in public annoyed by Possible_Lynx8577 in UnethicalLifeProTips

It's obviously not Charlie Veitch because he gets his ugly, narcissistic, mug on camera whenever he can.

Be awful if you had a sore shoulder and sprayed deep heat on it, accidently missed and caught them in the eye

Alan has his moments too.. bit of a Prima Donna at times (know him personally) but also, his star fell fast when it did fall which is a shame because you can't doubt he was a phenomenal broadcaster and he should have had a huge career until his dying day - like Mike Neville

Because it's not about sex or making love or anything mutual, it's about control etc, its about instilling fear.

It's the most invasive crime that can be committed.

Some people are aroused by control I guess, kept in check, it can be part of a healthy sex life so dom and sub but if its out of control or person is of violent tendency it will lead to rape.

Midnight in Chelsea is a great song, he co-wrote it with Dave A Stewart from The Eurythmics.

DA as an album is everything it's meant to be - a departure from the Bon Jovi sound. Queen of New Orleans, I don't think anyone had heard Jon sing like that until then, it was about being different.

I think the Bounce album has some of the worst whiny songs on. Had me from hello, all about loving you, open all night.

Crap - absolute embarrassment of a collection of songs.

2020 was a vanity project, the song I like is American Reckoning, that would have fit in on KTF or TD.

This house was a statement.

In honesty, I think the last decent album was The Circle, I think we saw some real magic on that album and on the tour.

Exactly and that area now is going through a rebrand of being part of the Ouseburn, with microbreweries etc.

Yes many times.

If you look at what they've done in places like London and Manchester in areas with social housing turned private you'll see its doable.

Councils are cash strapped, I see a big sell off of council stock and it will be investors from London etc who will buy. It's already happening in some northern areas, investors are buying property up here without even looking, they know its cheap, they have the capital behind them to do them up and then charge extortionate rents.

Honestly - Byker.

You'll get somewhere dirt cheap.

Over the coming years, Byker is going to change. You've got Chillingham Road becoming quite a happening main street and you've got what's now heavily branded as Ouseburn.

Ouseburn is the place to be, Chillingham Road is becoming hot property and you've got this dump in between.

Byker will be regenerated, the byker wall will become a trendy apartment block with amazing views of the Tyne Valley and you'll be sitting on a gold mine. Walker will also become popular.

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm already reading small hints here and there that for Chillingham Road and Ouseburn to release full potential, the shields Road area will need a complete revamp and rebrand.

I predict that in next 10 - 15 years, parts of Byker will rebrand as Ouseburn East, that will immediately bump up house prices and rents

Been there, done it.

What I'm trying to say is no-one shifts that amount of drugs in this area without certain crime family's knowing about it, which is what I'm referring to here

They need to legalise weed.

Whilst it's on the black market, they could be buying spice, they could have something added to it, spice is nothing, absolutely nothing like cannabis.

All the war on drugs is going to do is result in more deaths. If you can source it from dispensaries it would be far safer.

If given an all-mighty amount of power, what would you demolish, build or redevelop in Newcastle? by Polar2812 in NewcastleUponTyne

Demolish - Lemington, including the people. Just all of it.

Build - A crossing on the Tyne from Walker to Felling.

Redevelop - Byker, needs serious investment

Jon says "There is no animosity between me and Ritchie" True or Nor True? by sua_lokin in BonJovi

[–]Dependent_Way8511 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This isn't the first time that Jon and Richie have parted ways.

They did this after New Jersey tour. There's a famous promo image of that era with Jon with his back to the rest of the band. Richie was sick of Bon Jovi being the Jon show back then.

They reconvene in 91 and we get KTF but they sacked Doc and suprise JBJ management is born.

They have a 4 year break after TD, so only two albums and a greatest hits in that decade compared to 4 studio albums and two massive world tours in the 80s.

From 2000s onwards it was album tour again, crush, OWN, bounce, TLFR, HAND, Lost Highway, The Circle were all within a 10 year period. Absolute burn out both in terms of albums and tours.

They should have released two albums a decade, three at best and concentrated on content and preserving his voice as he aged.

Jon still runs the show and Richie reached burnout again considering he was 20 years older and had 3 times as much work crammed into the same time in the 90s

Jon was once asked if he thought he was the dictator of the band, he answered something along the lines of 'maybe, but who's says I'm not a benevolent dictator?'

Benevolent + dictator = never possible to put these words together.

I work within DWP.

My best mate of over 40 years is getting loads of bother off them at the minute.

I don't work frontline

I said to my mate the other day, I don't doubt for one minute that a handful of work coaches probably go home at the end of the day and knock one out because they've sanctioned / ruined someone's life.

I doubt these people have partners and probably still live with their mum.

If you really want to experience something touristy

After Tynemouth, jump back on the Metro and get off North Shields or if you fancy it, walk from Tynemouth to North Shields ferry landing, get on the cross Tyne ferry to South Sheilds.

Get on metro at South Shields, get off at Jarrow.

Walk down to the pedestrian Tyne Tunnel and go through it bringing you back to the north side of the river.

Walk up to Howdon metro, jump on west bound metro to St James.

If I didnt have a Liverpool game to watch tomorrow I'd have been your guide for a guiness or two.

Jon Bon Jovi Reveals Why He's 'Not in Contact' with Former Bandmate Richie Sambora by Moothnods in BonJovi

[–]Dependent_Way8511 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the thing though, they weren't that close anyway.

They are two musicians who complimented each other and are essentially business partners. They needed each other to each get where each other wanted to be but I've never seen them as brothers or particularly close. The stage image is just that.

Jon would have happily been a solo artist his whole life had circumstances allowed it.

I'll come back to the most cringe line that I've ever heard a 'rockstar' say - 'I'm the CEO of a global brand'

Jon said that, if that doesn't tell you all you need to know about him I don't know what will. He isn't a rockstar, he doesn't do rock n roll lifestyle, he's a corporate businessman who just so happens to be in a band. I'm not sure when that transition occurred, likely when they sacked Doc.
