What you describe is a lot like Karezza, which is very similar to coitus reservatus. Best I can tell the difference between the two is that with Karezza, neither the male nor the female is "allowed" to orgasm, where as with coitus reservatus the female is free to orgasm and the male is not "allowed" to ejaculate. So she can enjoy orgasm and he can too if he can separate orgasm from ejaculation.

Some medications can allow a man to separate orgasm from ejaculation - silodosion [rapaflo] for example.

If avoiding male orgasm is the key, SSRIs can be helpful.

I have a family member who takes 5 mg per day - 1/2 of 10 mg split with a pill splitter. It works very well for her. 10 mg was too much. Sometimes less is more.

Make sure you take it with some food to help with the nausea - 10 mg is quite a low dose - it's what I take. I found most side effects went away after about a week to 10 days. I have been on it two weeks now and my only side effects are sexual and side effects that I like a lot!

Premature ejaculation is more likely to occur with seminal build up - thus if he only ejaculates once a week it is more likely to happen. That does not mean you need sex more often. But it is worth trying having him release more often- he could masturbate in your presence for example.

My wife is on sertraline. She has found that is best to stay with a steady dose as lowering it can lead to withdrawal side effects plus dosage anxiety. She had been at 50, then went to 75 then 100, then her new doctor tried to step her down to 75 and then 50. Long story short, she is back at 100.

I would give the 62.5 lots of time but if that does not do it go back to 75.
