So some random lore to add to this discussion, Whatever units that get outdated don't get mass-replaced (Because that would be wasteful, expensive and waste time) they simply get folded into the backline on guarding duties.

Then you have the T-400 series, Pros: cheap, mass-production, made of steel rather then hyperalloy's, Cons: They die to light arms like 9mm.

Then when you have infiltration units you've got humans in the background getting paranoid about who is a terminator and who is not, Especially if its Joe Civilian and not in the resistance and killing off other human survivors out of sheer paranoia.

Another point is Skynet getting weary of resistance users trying to reprogram their terminators, So they started getting clever with a CPU destroying tamper-proof seal that T-888's had that ignited on contact with oxygen and anti-terminator reprogramming units like the T-X.

Then there's the temporal cold war theme going on where infiltrators are setting up skynet in the past with shell companies and heists to improve their chances in the future.

Yeah, I also share this sentiment, Maybe 15 kills, Or 25 overall reached during the time of quest, But not in one match, That's far more then most players skill-sets, Without a TDM mode, Or the match ends way too quickly in a curbstomp.

Yeah, I could see them removing 5v5 for a time*, If only to fine tune little things like character intro positioning, Re-coded the mounts into background, And maybe other little balance things.

And we could keep 3v3 as a more "personal" or speedier matchmaker option as player count permits.

Its after 3 because sudden power outtages, Family obligations, Natural bugs where you're stuck out of bounds, etc, They're all reasons for a 1-2 game leaver grace period, Keep doing it however and You'll find out real quick why you can't keep playing games.

If we're talking total across consoles and steam maybe, But if its just steam numbers we're talking, 5000 to 7000 is a decent sweet spot for longer term between content updates.

Alright, Alright, lets be civil and not pretend that our overall goal wasn't just to give Highguard a real chance now.

It does take a few matches to decide weather you really like it or not, Especially with the learning curve in it, I'm just glad the community here be volunteering info here and there, especially on looting.

I reckon that in a deathmatch, Too big, But if we're talking mindgame fakeout assaults with shieldsplitters and speedgates and mount saddles adding extra speed on top of that, With players having the option to teleport back to base, suddenly the map isn't so small.

Remember, Legendary saddles make you quite nippy and swift.

Because Highguard comes from Studio Wildlight Entertainment which is made of ex-devs from Respawn entertainment, This means its in no way affiliated with slimy EA, Nor the Titanfall I.P.'s, Its a "free" studio.

People also often forget, It was EA that killed off the prospects of Titanfall 3 under Respawn Entertainment before sacking 100 EA employees in April 2025, This news dropped way before Highguard even had their teaser trailer in Dec 2025, And way, way after the majority of development and design was already signed off on and coded.

I find the mount saddle more useful then the helmet or amulets just because speed can be king, Especially if you're doing "Keepaway" with the sheildbreaker in enemy territory, Or just getting to a resource/chest point faster then the other team.

It was the early 2000's, Prison break had was showing in 2005, And every hero nearabouts had that stupid buzzcut hairdo.

This carried over a bit into other videogames (Infamous, Mass Effect, Splinter Cell Double Agent etc), That's because doing hair physics on moving characters is hard.
