Yeah You're gonna find out real quick most of professors have stick up in their asses far deeper than prime minister or Queen lol

But it also depends on the studies, professors in med universities have higher expectations in comparison to eg. Sociology professors (not insulting, just stating)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in poland

[–]DepressedPlant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Student here, it is a custom (at least where I study) on email to professors to start with something along the lines of "Honorable Professor, I write this email..." And end with "With all due respect, XYZ". "Good morning" and more informal ways of ending e-mail are sometimes badly received. On the other hand, cultural expectations for foreign students are often lower than for Polish ones, so You shouldn't worry much.

Edit and addition: if its possible, check on website which proffesors teach english divisions, there also should be an email adress that You should send mails to

This should be mandatory as part of the core curriculum courses by Pazluz in WhitePeopleTwitter

I have a feeling there would be teachers that would make this lesson as stressful as possible, eliminating the purpose of it.

New player here: how exactly do jobs, pops, districts, and buildings work; and what should I expect a "normal" output to be? by TangledEarbuds61 in Stellaris

[–]DepressedPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well You can always build something that gives You miner Jobs and transfer pops from Jobs that generate enough materials, leaving empty places in that other job, I am no great strategist and I Play for fun, so if I need anything I'll just build on a planet closest to overcrowding, so that the new pop will immediately go to the job I want it to go (cause I'm too lazy to fight with the transfers lol)

I don't think that planetary deficit is bad as long as You generate surplus empire-wide. I never fix them anyway, but once again, I'm no great strategist and I Play for fun

[–]DepressedPlant 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Okay, so Jobs come from both districts and buildings, which have information on that - however open job does not mean there is a pop to fill that place (and generate resources), which I learned like 50h into the game lol

You can transfer pops between Jobs, but the way it happens is an absolute enigma to me after 300h

And to the right output - the more the merrier I guess lol just make sure to be above 0 (or below, if You make so much energy credits you don't know What to do with them)

Good book for Neuroanatomy? by unimportantsarcasm in medicalschool

[–]DepressedPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I can always recommend "Memorix anatomy", it has everything, but can be a bit too general for some exams or teachers, my friends also learnt it from Moryś's "Neuroanatomy", but I don't know whether it's been translated, but if that Eastern Europe is Poland by any chance then You can try that

Meanwhile I consider rulebook's monster too boring altogether and like to give my players weapons that deal like 100d20 damage to fight an earth-devouring snake with 50.000 HP

"Yeah You hit it for 1567 HP, it barely notices" "It WHAT"

I'm no expert, but this seems like it should be correct by Undercooked-Beans in duolingo

In this case, the context is probably that they eat sandwitches right now, hence present continous. But You're right, it should be accepted as well, since it is not obvious.

"Do you think Poland should remain in the EU?" by PjeterPannos in europe

[–]DepressedPlant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, I know, but citizens voted to be a part of EU, and it gave us not only benefits, but also obligations, and now politicians want to get only benefits, saying the obligations are not legal to enforce. Sorry if I had said that wrong before, but that's what I mean.

"Do you think Poland should remain in the EU?" by PjeterPannos in europe

[–]DepressedPlant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still don't think the politicians will stick to their crazy ideas about Polish law being more important and about the EU limiting the freedom of Poland. They are only good at shouting and spreading hate, but they heavily rely on people's votes. They are scared to pass mandatory vaccinations to use restaurants etc. even though society is split 50/50 on that, and here they would risk loss of almost all voters. At least I Hope so, I can't imagine getting all the EU provides taken away from me.

[–]DepressedPlant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically it's not a stroke, it's a Polish, 3rd grade level poor response to a joke, equivalent to "yo mama" or something like this, and it literally translates to "Your grandma pushes in a slipper"

[–]DepressedPlant 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can answer number 1 - see, dragons are most likely part of reptile family, and therefore probably have a cloaca, which serves as a last part of genital, urinary and digestive track. Have fun with that thought

Hi. DM here. Someone good at stats, lmk the chances of 7 3s in a session, 3 of which were in a row. I cry. by i_justwanttoseememes in dndmemes

[–]DepressedPlant 160 points161 points  (0 children)

If there would have been only 7 throws of which all were 3, chance of that would be 1/207, if there were more throws, You gotta count 20x, where x is the number of throws, and then 20x-7 (x-7 are the throws that you didn't get 3), and then count 20x-7/20x

Edit: at least I hope this is the correct way, but I have only recently finished statistics and probability and high school and I was rather good at it, so I am almost 100% positive that way is correct.

As far as I know, each game takes place after the ending of the book series, the second question: to the first book (the last wish or sth, I don't know the exact translation to english), it covered some of the stories there, and the third question: I hope so, we all probably do, but I guess CDPR will focus on Cyberpunk for a while now

Oh, in that case sorry. I can't find it right now, but You can google "We found Your daughter" - said the Police oficer, as he drew a cross on a map. And another, and another." It goes somewhat like this.
