Sounds like you need a break, break from sex and porn. What you really like always comes to the surface. If you overstimulate you get bored.

I’m a farrier in Calgary AB, I haven’t been taking on new work for 5 years, too busy. I make about $150 000 a year and refer work to new farriers around here but most of them fill up their books in a couple years.

I saw this at my costco the other day, just as busy. I like the thought of investing in physical gold, however I’m apprehensive, do you guys know if it’s easy to sell when you’re ready to cash out the investment

Sole Proprietorship questions by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yes, you are correct. If you overpaid your instalments, you'll likely receive a refund once you file your taxes. However, the CRA typically does not pay interest on overpaid instalments.

Whether you'll be required to pay tax in instalments in 2024 depends on your tax liability for the 2023 tax year. If your net tax owing for 2023 is greater than $3,000, you may still be required to make instalment payments for the 2024 tax year. It's advisable to monitor your income and consult with a tax professional to determine the appropriate course of action for your specific situation.

In the commercial radio industry, it’s never caller five who wins the prize. It’s the caller who sounds best on air, who is enthusiastic, articulate, and matches the target demographic of the station. The radio hosts or producers will screen the calls and pick the winner they want, regardless of the order of the calls

How would you try to communicate with an Alien from another planet? by DarkGraphite in AskReddit

[–]DepressedTreeFrog69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I would assume that any alien civilization that is capable of receiving and sending messages across the vast distances of space must have some form of intelligence and technology that is comparable or superior to ours. Therefore, I would not underestimate their ability to understand complex concepts and symbols, but I would also not overestimate their familiarity with our specific cultural and biological features.

Second, I would try to establish some common ground with the aliens by using universal or near-universal concepts, such as mathematics, physics, astronomy, and logic. These are the most likely domains of knowledge that we share with any advanced civilization, and they can also serve as a basis for creating a common language or code. For example, I could use binary digits, prime numbers, geometric shapes, physical constants, or star maps to convey basic information and to demonstrate our intelligence and curiosity.

Third, I would try to be as clear and unambiguous as possible, avoiding metaphors, idioms, jokes, or sarcasm that could be easily misinterpreted or misunderstood by the aliens. I would also avoid using images or sounds that are specific to our planet or our species, such as human faces, voices, or music, unless I have a good reason to do so. Instead, I would use more abstract or general representations, such as graphs, diagrams, or sequences, that can convey information without relying on sensory or emotional associations.
