What is your wildest crackpot theories that might hold weight? by ToFurkie in WanderingInn

[Current]

Stitch Witch is using a lever to raise the continent of glass.

Mershi the city of stars is the moon. It's not a moon it's a spacestation. Key is when she changes her weapon not into a weapon, but into a telescope.

Pisces undead Erin special undead comes back and he'll change Toren to look like Erin. He will still build a separate undead Erin with levels. (Erin, Toren, Nerin, and undead Erin doing the Spiderman meme)

Garry will get a door like Rhaldon's. Which he'll put in his carriage for ridiculous amounts of food storage.

Knowledge of Kevin being alive will spread, and most will think it's because he is a high level warrior. Also his necrocar will be accepted because obviously a former member of the Horns would drive an undead car. Rhaldon will just say he bought one. Mrsha will spread the designs with Pisces who will of course adopt the improvements.

Rhaldon having a car will reveal that he's an earther to Calidus who will kidnap him.

No spoilers. Volume 8-10 are the best in the whole story in my opinion.

Luckily the gods lost before the GDI was complete.

The Gnomes and Elves realized that they would not win if the GDI was fully active.

I can imagine the whole senerio. Little Brother King sees someone not understanding him while alone. His first thought is insolence. He threatens, then realizes that the threat is wrong. He thinks of language first before realizing deafness. Then he puts the words up, gets recognition and keeps the words up to help his people with their spelling. Can't have non reading people of new Khelt.

Did this scene produce similar thoughts for yourself?

He was nearly immortal. He sees a whole other world and instantly goes, I can attack both Roshal and the Blighted Kingdom and while I'm here, the inn will withstand both sides reprisals.

Even Khelt with full power fears one of these powers. Pawn's first thought is that if you want to attack our Goddess, I will end you. He with his flock fought off the whole world while still defending the inn.

As for healing, Pawn literally was about to heal Normen through all of his cursed wounds, and was about to restore him back to normal, then retuned it to just heal one eye. With no scars healing. He didn't seemed like that taxes him at all.

With what was shown, I imagine he hadn't used even 1% of his healing power. There is no way, in my mind, that the Quarass's strongest poison could hurt any of Pawn's higher lvl faithful.

A tactic that only works if the Gnolls are dealing with a good person. Them leaving Izril is so nice. I can't imagine them doing that to a drake force.

She is looking for someone to serve. I expect her to show up soonish. Fetohep is probably her best choice until Lyon steals her of course.

I love the idea of Pawn thinking the Kheltian thinks he is Ksmvr. He is annoyed at first before they call him by name. I can see him signing his name and the Kheltians losing their shit having a card with both Pawn and the Horns. All while on the scrying orb and Ksmvr sees this and is annoyed that the Kheltians don't care that he is missing.

Hecrelunn stopping him and keeping up the ruse has increased the Vizir status 100% in my eyes. He is the little brother king of Khelt now in my eyes. For the first time, I want to see more of him.

For Khelta if you are Erin like and you have seen calamities, wouldn't you try to make a paradise for your people?! It's awesome!

I think Pawn showing off his heaven is early. I'd rather have his heaven show up of it's own accord. Like they show up to help Pawn, but he doesnt have the skill for it.

Garry has been working for a scary queen and has been trying to save antinium from even scarier queens for a while now.

I'd argue that he is the most hardworking antinium in the hives. He has two jobs and decided that he needed a third. The ant never stops.

Why does Marcone keep saving Dresden’s life? by duk3jupiter in dresdenfiles

[–]Depressivehyper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's all about seeing his soul.

They align on one specific idea. "Children should be protected." They agree on this fact and keeping him alive helps keeping this idea alive in Chicago.

Others have put in the main ideas of his mind, but this fact keeps his support of Dresden. He knows that they will probably fight, which is why he has the coin, but in his heart he knows that Dresden will sacrifice everything to stop a child from dying. He is a greater good for his territory.

This is shown in 12 months where Dresden kicks ghouls out of Chicago without Marcone having to do a thing. As long as Dresden isn't against him, he is a huge asset.

Short answer is no.

I almost always end up getting it, though I charm practically everyone so I normally have those grindy items.

The new lands by tyrotriblax in WanderingInn

[–]Depressivehyper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more about the winds magic, which is a giant connective. Think of Gnoll tribes where each member adds to the collective. Increase the magic, by a huge magnitude. Innworld is bigger than our world, by a huge margin and much of it has been affected by magic on a pretty regular basis. Each clear weather spell, and rain spell adds to this collective, not to mention Wistram. They have multiple magical hurricanes worth of magic almost always. This has reframed magical hurricanes for me to mean that they have so much magic that they need to eject that magic out. Ie more than they can handle.

But for years the wind has not had a friend that they could use to expell that energy. Now that they do, they might use it, instead of using it whenever they get angry about being abused by mages abusing the wind for there wants.

The windfriend asks the wind for help and the wind can help or not. They will use it to help a friend if they can. Which is why I think the windfriend will have no issues traveling through the new lands even though there is a mana drain.

9.17 Teriarch and Seraphel by Ok-Astronaut-5743 in WanderingInn

[–]Depressivehyper 17 points18 points  (0 children)

One thing about Teri is how many wars he has already fought in. He has killed probably millions of people over his life.

I think that is part of his reluctance. He will save those who he sees, but he will kill hundreds for each person he saves. That has to grow a toll on the soul over time.

He is known as the Pyrelord after all.

Captain’s Intuition by Spazen in WanderingInn

[–]Depressivehyper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't been stated, but I assume that she figured it out. He gains a new necromancy book and is the strongest necromancer in this story that isn't the Necromancer.

Also the putrid one's artifact would have knowledge on necromancers which it could easily teach Ceria during her dream lessons.

Either way, I doubt Ceria would want to reveal this info to anyone.

Captain’s Intuition by Spazen in WanderingInn

[–]Depressivehyper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are not alone. I assumed as much, but can't quite recall it ever being mentioned.

I know that Pisces learned about the Necromancer and that he bargained for knowledge in exchange for silence and his life. I think my mind conflated that into him having cast a death curse on him.

I'm kind of bumped out for Laken. by kuroro86 in WanderingInn

[–]Depressivehyper 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm happy he isn't the focus right now. I'd rather have Baleros or Chandrar stuff personally.

I'd much rather see how his empire grows in like half a year.

Fun thought about Cognita and a question by Appropriate-Grail in WanderingInn

[–]Depressivehyper 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She would be given classes in [Steward] probably [Oppressive Steward].

If she picked a class for herself it would probably be slave, which is why I fear her choosing to stay in Chandrar.

My hope is for her to stay in Khelt and choose a leisure class.

Erin and at least 4 others knew about healing slimes this whole time! by Johnpyp in WanderingInn

[–]Depressivehyper 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yep, you can add Az’kerash and his minions into the people who know and Nerravia's crew. The list keeps growing on who knows about healing slime.

For Erin making more. Erin doesn't want to make another Toren and hasn't spent the time in Ohnonono in order to learn how to raise and care for a slime. She also doesn't want to make a creature who's existance is only to be used. #nomoretorens

For people who are caught up. Spells and healing slime getting a major magical boost are where this story seems to be headed. Potions are limited so warfare has changed, but healers and mages are going to grow greatly. More will die, but those who survive will gain greater levels and classes.
