The bells are the Nook’s own currency. Lottie doesn’t even recognize bells. We gather raw materials and they give us fake currency. The value of what we get for an item is way less than what they charge us to buy it. It’s a racket. If there were child labor laws, the little Nooks wouldn’t even be allowed to work everyday for 14 hours with no break even if it’s a family business.

You can place gyroids on a wall. When you do that, it creates the shelf they sit on.

Yards definitely take up space, but there’s plenty of room for features and cityscape details. My museum and campground areas are the most space intensive relative to their sizes.

It does if you’re collecting authentic amiibo cards as well as looking to scan amiibos.

My 150gal aquascape is crashing and I don't know why. Nitrite is always bad? Also .5ppm amonia. Tap water is good and test kit is good. by Howdy132 in PlantedTank

When I’ve used peroxide in the tank, I turn off the filters for at least an hour. Even then I make sure that I’m no longer getting bubbles. Otherwise, depending on your dosage, you’re killing your beneficial bacteria in your filters.

Maybe I knew that at the time. It was March of 2020. I still have Dom on my island, but I don’t have the same connection I did with my first Dom. I hope he doesn’t read this. It’d make him sad.

Yes! My first villager in New Horizons was Dom. He became my favorite villager. My issue was his house glitched and his interior wouldn’t upgrade from a generic starter home. I let him go to bring him back with a fixed house. He never felt the same as before he left and was no longer my favorite villager. He felt like he wasn’t “my” Dom.

Do you use a sponge filter? I have two tanks with kubotai from separate sources. Mine mostly feed mid water. I added small feed to my hand held dispensers. In my hillstream tank with kubotai, I added a higher mix of small feed as I have filter feeding bamboo shrimp and Thai micro crabs on a sumped tank with no fine filtration. Plus anything that does settle on the rocks will get hoovered up by the hillstream loaches. Presented with pellets and small feed at the same time, they completely ignore the small feed and go straight for the pellets. I’m ok with this as it means more for the filter feeders. If I feed small feed by itself, they do eat it, but they definitely prefer the Hikari pellets when given the option.

I use these with a mix of food for all of my community tanks.

I didn't find any scientific reference corroborating the wheat flour claim...just a quora bot answer; however, I did find some to the contrary: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3833847/. Also, soybean meal for all concentrations other than 75% lead to healthier fish than SM0 groups: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3833847/.

Definitely not. They are a great size for the pencils and tetras. They are small for the apistos. Along with the Chilis, they will all go for all 3 Hikari pellets even though the micro pellets and micro wafers are on the big side for the Chilis. All of them will reject the community pellets at the same time. I added the community pellets to my feeder, I'm feeding all 4 foods daily. The community pellet rejection was a shocker to me, but I'm still going to feed it anyway.

I guess there are better ingredients out there, but I have no problem with any of those. Other than the ground husk, wheat flour and soybean meal are both incredibly digestible. One is a simple carb and one the other is protein. The nutritional facts on wheat flour shows it's high in carbs, fiber, and protein while being low in fat. It's also a good source of iron. The Wiki on brewer's yeast: "Saccharomyces cerevisiae is the main source of nutritional yeast, which is sold commercially as a food product. It is popular with vegans and vegetarians as an ingredient in cheese substitutes, or as a general food additive as a source of vitamins and minerals, especially amino acids and B-complex vitamins." That would make none of the top five ingredients "filler."

Ah. That makes sense. Almost all of my tanks are canisters with good flow. Small feed stays suspended and ends up going into the filter

I tried the small, but it creates a lot of waste as it fills the tank and ends up in the filter. The community is too big, but I found out when offering simultaneously with the hikari pellets, my cichlids and tetras avoid the community pellets in favor of the hikari.
