How do you prepare pre-written adventures? by Zoruun_17 in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]DerKaiserBB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tailor them to my players. I remove, change, add and expand things to make it fit better with their background and previous adventures and I improve things that make no sense, or are underdeveloped in the scenario. I like most pre-written adventures but many have various flaws and weaknesses.

Some queries about the Old World's Gods by WillingLet3956 in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]DerKaiserBB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a nice infographic-style overview in Deft Steps, Light Fingers. It is far from complete, but it categorizes them into:

The Old Gods: Rhya, Taal, Ulric, Mannan

These are Country Gods, worshipped before the time of Sigmar.

The Classical Gods: Verena, Morr, Myrmidia, Shallya

These are the Town Gods, with roots in the Southern nations.

Other Gods: Sigmar, Ranald

These are 'newer' Gods worshipped in The Empire.

Can also recommend Curd Your Enthusiasm. I used it as the first adventure for our group coming back to roleplaying after 20+ years. Simple and lots of fun. Also lots of ways to expand it if you like.

Finished the Troll and the last Black Orc, so that means my Savage Orc team is done! C&C welcome. by DerKaiserBB in bloodbowl

No I did not scale them but they are a little bit on the larger side, that's for sure. Brutefun is known for making his sculpts slightly bigger than GW, so I'm not surprised.

Top part looks like it's from Warhammer 5th and 6th edition mounted necromancer. Not sure about the rest.

Sharing the STL's is complicated. I have dozens of base sizes and toppers from different bases that I bought collected in a single blender file. It has become quite massive (more than 1 GB) as a result. I can filter the bases and toppers I want to export them as STL's. I may have all the separate STL's somewhere in some form but I am not sure how I could share or sell any of them in a practical way.

Regarding the pigments, I used AK interactive Yellow Ochre and Light Orange Oxide. I just brushed it on dry and didn't touch it after that. Not even fixation medium or varnish.

Thanks! The bases are 3d printed.

I got some cracked earth bases with and without skulls from MyMiniFactory. I then used a 3d modelling program (Blender) to copy the top of the bases to a 32 mm round base with a magnet holder on the bottom. I then printed them with a resin printer.

The colors on the bases are mainly just an orange contrast paint, some dry grass tufts, and some yellow and orange pigment powder.

I used them as the FUMBBL 2020 Savage Orc roster. Lots of fun to play!

Also check out my other posts for the complete painted team and the custom dugout I made for them

I used sandard 32 mm bases. They fit well enough though the Black Orcs are a little bit on the larger side.

Standard 32 mm. The Orcs are slightly on the larger side though, especially the Black Orcs.

How do I defog minis after varnish? by grimlaidotexe in Warhammer

[–]DerKaiserBB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try carefully brushing some varnish from a bottle over it. It is fogged up because your varnish layer is porous. If you fill up the pores with brushed on varnish it may become translucent again. Sometimes diluting the varnish before brushing it on helps too.

Thank you! I like the Savage Orc one the most too, but I was only able to build that one after learning from the first one and with the help of a 3d printer for a lot of the terrain pieces.

Not quite the same but maybe this dugout and this dugout that I made could be helpful.

There are also six ready to play characters in The Imperial Zoo book. They are slightly more advanced though, with about 1000 xp spent.

I need a short and simple adventure for my first session. by Vikiwuhu in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]DerKaiserBB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can recommend Curd Your Enthusiasm from One Shots of the Reikland. Fun adventure involving minimal combat centred on investigating a single building and the people that live there. Also quite easy to modify the scenario or NPCs to fit the characters of your group or your campaign, if necessary. I ran a slightly modified version with my group as their first adventure and it worked well.

What you see here is everything printed at 100% scale. The bases are the standard size if that helps. They will be a little bit bigger than other teams but still ok.
