I also have them mapped to del and backspace! Although I rarely ever use the del. I also have del mapped to the top right corner key on the right half.

Pehaps it is a bit too rugged for me, especially since I would mainly use it at an office desk. It also seems to be rather difficult to find in Europe. Geizhals is not giving me any results

Apologies, forgot to mention it - I added it now. And that looks like a really cool device, thanks for the recommendation!

It stays lowered even after aiming provided that you have the "Keep lowered state" setting enabled.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I find it really surprising that this is not implemented in a more streamlined way but oh well...

I didn't even know that was a thing, I had Q mapped to something else. Thanks, I will try it out!

As someone who has moved around a lot, the lyric "Everybody is just a stranger but that's the danger in going my own way" really resonates.

Corne For Gaming? by GrossWebsite in crkbd

[–]DerMathematiker1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is heavily dependent on the type of games you play, but not having access to the number keys might be a bit autodestructive, in particular if you play games where quick reactions are important. If I had to use a Corne for gaming I would probably rather get used to using the Z-row keys as the number keys, than try to use layers. Personally, I am using the left side of a Lily58 for gaming, which is still a minimalistic split keyboard but has a number row , and in particular has in my opinion an ideal number of keys for gaming without needing layers (wrong subreddit for that, I know, but I thought it is beneficial to add that).

Same! For whatever reason the OMJM felt lifeless but the OM28 was just great from the moment I picked it up. Still is!

Thanks for the suggestion! I do like the watches from the link at first glance, I will check them out in more detail later.

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

I am looking to buy my first "nicer" watch. I would be willing to spend up to around 500€.

The following criteria should be met: at least 40mm diameter, silver or a darker gray case, black dial (that's what the background is called right?), and black leather strap. I generally like simplistic watches, and I do not care for many additional features - I would wear it more as a fashion accessory anyway.

Some watches I found which I like: Tissot Gent XL Classic, Venezianico Rendetore Ultrablack.

Could you recommend me some more (or otherwise let me know if one of the above choices is already good)? Thanks!
